"⛔️WARNING DO NOT SHOP HERE!!⛔️ Andre the owner and his managers are so disrespectful. You ever heard of the customer is always right, well they haven’t. When you try to explain to them that they have outdated, expired goods on their selves they take it very offensive and get very disrespectful and nasty with their mouths. And looking at other people’s reviews I see I’m not the only one. I’ve seen other reviews as well about their employees being rude too, but also reviews from previous employees about the management at Scaturros so honestly I don’t blame how their other employees like their cashiers and deli workers etc act because they are fed up too. It’s really a shame because in the age where local mom and pop shops are dying, and a store that could truly embody “Old Brooklyn” Scaturro’s should just close up for good, or he should sell."

"28 y/o Bay Ridge born and raised. Been coming here since I was a kid and this place has always seemed lack luster. I come every once in a while when I need something quick as it's a few blocks away from my home but it feels out dated and run down. For one of the last Italian supermarkets in the area it doesn't do much to support the heritage it's apart of. I wish they would remodel and get truly quality Italian products that would compliment Fiaccos and Mama Rao's/Pasta fresca at providing 11th ave with a truly authentic old Brooklyn Italian experience. Since I've been a child I dont think much remodeling has been done at all besides new digital signs on th windows advertising sales. This place could be a gold mine that rivals a place like La Bella supermarket on 77/13th Ave. I actually try to avoid going here because it's so run down and doesn't have an extensive list of quality product. Unless it's something simple, i sometimes have to go elsewhere to make a full ingredients purchase which is why I'll usually opt to go elsewhere beforehand. I really hope that management reads this and does something to spruce this local staple up and create a new quality spot to shot in Dyker Heights as it should be. "The girls that work here most of them has an attitude problem. They gave me a brown paper bag that rip off I told her to give me another one she was like nothing free no free stuff? Omg I was shocked! I told her did I ask you for free stuff? Just tell me it’s 15 cents for another bag and she was so nasty to me. I spent about 800 a month shopping here every time she has the nerves to tell me nothing free wow. The older cashier are the professional ones . Another thing most of their items are expired. Check the label! they will deadass sell you expired and rotten food. I stopped buying from here and taking my money where I will be treated with respect And getting a high quality food somewhere else."
