"I’m just here to warn everyone about our flooding issues. If you think it’s going to rain DO NOT PARK IN THE PARKING LOT in front of the hotel park towards Trader Joe’s instead. I feel sooo bad when I see cars sitting there almost completely under water and wonder why the hotel doesn’t let people know of the severe flooding issue. The hotel itself is ok and it has easy transportation into the city."
"Staff were great. Great view. Need an elevator in rear of hotel. Rm listed as a suite with balcony. Seemed like a regular room with King bed. Small. Balcony also small. Microwave didn't work well."
"This hotel is a very poor choice if you have an auto immune illnes or any sensitivity to strong scents or chemical. They have potpourri everywhere and the cleaning staff sprays a very strong chemical on the carpets after every clean. I came to New Jersey for kidney stone removal surgery at Mount Sinai and was so disappointed about the chemical smells everywhere because I had hoped to stay in a healthy environment before and after surgery. They deliberately spray a strong scent on your carpet every time they clean and say it's because it smells nice. We were staying for almost a week, but could not clean the room as a result because housekeeping didn't seem to understand that strong scents are not healthy for anyone, let alone for someone with an auto immune illness. When I mentioned this to the front desk staff, they seemed barely interested. The front desk staff seems very poorly trained. They don't know anything about the surrounding area. Prior to arriving at the hotel, I asked for an early check in and was told it was no problem. When I arrived, the front desk told me this was not possible and without an apology told me to sit down and wait for a room to be available. Since the issue seemed to be cleaning, I asked the front desk if it might be possible to ask housekeeping to prioritize my room since I had been told I could check in at 11 am. She said yes. At 13:00 I approached her again to get an update. She said not to ask again. She would let me know. I wound up waiting until 15:00 which is the official check in time and she said she had not told me my room was ready because I had been eating and she didn't want to disturb me. I had only had a short snack and expected her to tell me even if I was eating. This is just one of many poor customer service examples. I don't think they have been trained at all. My husband is currently lying down with a severe headache from the chemical smell and he does not have any type of auto immune illness. The location is very nice with the walk by the water and shops close by, but the horrible scent and poor customer service ruined our stay."
"Enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to return in the future. Facility is well maintained & the front desk staff were pleasant. Room was comfortable with amenities such as frig, microwave, & ample power sources including a USB charger beside the bed. Was not happy to find housekeeping had entered my room while the do not disturb placard was on the door, but no harm, just a freshened room. Coffee from the machine in the lobby wasn't the best, but it was there 24/7."
"I stayed here on 9/17 for one night. This place isn’t what it used to be. I have stayed here multiple times since 2018. The view of NYC is awesome, but that’s the only positive thing. They gave me room 113. After taking a shower the bathtub would not empty. The drain plug kept popping down instead of staying up. I mentioned it to the front desk, but maintenance had left for the day! The toilet had some issues. It sounded like it kept filling up with water continuously. The sliding window would not lock. The bed side lamp plugs would not allow a plug to stay in. They charged me $8 for three little snacks! On previous visits I could bring my bicycle to my room. Not this time. I paid almost $300 on a Sunday night, it totally was not worth it. I’ll be staying elsewhere on my future visits. I did fill out the customer survey & the manager reached out, but only offered a $25 refund! I contacted corporate & they ended giving me points instead."
