"Part of Kim’s Videos VHS collection lives here! Worth it just for that. There’s also great theatrical and repertory programming. Incredibly comfortable seats. Great sound system. It can be a little overwhelming to have servers walk through the aisles dropping off food and drink, but the staff is very quick. New development: Alamo now uses red buttons that illuminate on your seat when pressed—they signal to the waiter that you want to order something during the movie. That way the waiter will be able to see the request without difficulty and also they can then spend less time in the aisles checking to ensure nothing has been missed."
"The staff is fantastic, the food is great and Alamo as a whole knows how to do movies properly. However this is one of the most poorly designed theaters in one of the strangest and inconvenient locations. I’m not sure who designed some of the rooms but they can be claustrophobic and poorly laid out not to mention that it’s located in the sub sub basement of a new shopping plaza in the heart of Wall Street. Tight roads, poor parking and a lack of signage for the Alamo itself makes the entire trip inside very daunting."
"The theater only had 3 rows and the 1st row was so close to the screen that it made the movie pretty much unwatchable. Also, I leaned over to whisper to my friend one question during the opening credits and we got sassed by a waiter about their “talking policy,” while throughout the entire movie the waiters are walking in front of the of the screen and audibly taking food orders. If The Alamo truly cares that much about the movie watching experience then they should stop trying to also be a restaurant."
"Besides the good food and the reclining seats, the servers and cleaners also made up the whole Alamo experiences. First time to this lower manhattan Alamo and I’m loving it. Its not just a lot spacious, they also have a bar and merch store too. ( can Alamo introduce caramel / kettle popcorn on the menu please !!?!? )"
"Comfortable reclining seats with a full menu of food, drink and dessert selections in a clean multi theater cinema. There is a bar with a dance floor and a printing press at the entrance. The staff is very attentive and the service is great! Can’t miss a VHS rental setup on the theater level."
