"We had the Yakiniku party. We had one extra person who also didn't eat meat so we also added additional vegetables and an extra smore for them. The appetizers were quite good. Salads were very good well portioned as were the garlic noodles. The meats were very fresh. Our favorites were any meat that were marinated as they were the most tasty. They do provide dipping sauce. We also ordered some pork belly which was good and lots of fun to cook. Fun place to go for bbq without having to clean your own grill."
"Ordered through Ubereats on December 13th. Found a roach in it.. The person who took the phone said they never had an issue like this and Im the first person who found a roach in the food.. Well I can find many other reviews that complain about roaches and service. Although I got a refund from Ubereats, the way the staff responded to this issue was very unprofessional. Didnt even wanna admit it and made me feel like Im lying?.... Ive been a long time customer for this restaurant but will not return anymore. Apparently, this location is ruining the reputation of this chain.."
"I used to love Gyu Kaku. This was my first experience at this location. The service was so so. They came over only when we asked them to. The food was okay, but not worth the price. The miso soup was served cold. The meats drenched in sauce were tasty, but mostly fat. The alcoholic beverages were TERRIBLE. Don’t bother ordering one. They are 90% ice 8% water and 2% booze. Definitely not worth the price."
"This was our first time dining at Amsterdam location. The food taste was good but the portion was small compared to other locations we have been to. We had Wagu beef. The US prime short rib, Kobe beef. And sushi. The mean concern was this place was dusty, dusts on the counter and on the walls. A lot of DUSTS!!! I will never go back there to eat! And I don’t recommend anyone to eat at this location!"
"Our first time dining in at this location. We have been to the ones in Times Sq and East Village a few times. Food was good. We came during happy hour which was a good deal. Our server was nice but kept forgetting about our requests although I have reminded him and he didn't refill our water the entire time we were there. It's not the same service quality as the other locations."
