"Great location and ambience with comfortable seatings a block away from Rockerfeller Christmas tree on a busy December Thursday night (arounrd 545pm). Great ambience. Ordered Chashu and soyu ramen and pork gyoza ($7 on happy hour menu) to share. Good noodle texture and sweet bamboo slices, creamy souo. Chashu was cut a little too thick for my taste. The pork gyoza was greasy and not crispy so was meh. Surprising that their happy hour was 5pm to 8pm on weekdays as I'd imagine that's prime dinner time. Sapporo only for $6 a bottle on happy hour menu which is a steal in times square!"
"Went for their lunch special and got two rolls (and soup + salad) for $14! Quaint and cute spot near Rockefeller. Service was quick and excellent."
"Great place for ramen in midtown. Great sushi as well. Entrees/Rolls start at about $18 and go up from there. The dining area is very Japanese. Lighting is very yellow. Also the restaurant is on the 2nd floor. Huge staff if you ask me. Lots of waiters all over the place"
"Yama's an absolutely delicious, charming, and comfortable japanese restaurant that offers a multitude of proper & tasty meals! We highly recommend the TONKOTSU Ramen, simmered 12-hour broth that tastes savoury & more flavorful the longer I eat it. Try out the special sushi rolls- it pairs well with plum wine. The service is attentive and professional while the ambience is relaxing and cozy. Always a solid choice for us tbh."
"We came in at 7:45 pm for dinner and were seated right away. The appetizers of tempura and octopus balls came out quickly. Everything tasted great and freshly made Ramen soon followed. I really enjoyed the veggie ramen in Miso broth. The tonkotsu ramen also hit the spot"
