"Love, love, love this store!!! They have *everything* and it is so fun to see how much they can get into a small space. Everyone is very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I stop by to say hi and find a few things every time I'm in NYC. My kids describe it as an Ace Hardware that threw up in a bodega. If I didn't live quite a few states away I would be there regularly."
"Love this place. They have a surprisingly massive inventory, and they’ll order stuff for you if they don’t have it. Very helpful staff."
"40% mark up on 2019 ac’s that are known to be finicky. Really high install price. Avoid at all cost. I’m still mad about my purchase. EDIT: In response to his first statement: what was sold to me was a MIDEA EASY COOL 3 in 1 air conditioner. First available date was march of 2019. It was sold to me for 450$ dollars. That’s the price of a new 2023 midea u shaped air conditioner without the insane mark up they charge and that works better than this unit. In response to statement two: If you get the amount they sold it for vs what you can buy it for online now (320$ last I checked for the midea 10,000 BTU easy cool 3 in 1),that’s nearly a 29% mark up. That’s simply just theft. I am all for supporting small business but these people are just really stealing from you with that up charge. I wouldn’t have minded paying 380 or even 400 but charging me 480 when I could’ve bought a better unit online is the fact that makes me hate this purchase so much In response to statement 3: yeah you guys gave me some decent customer service but you charged me 680$ for an ac unit from 2019 with the installion price of 175$ in ALL CASH(which is obviously some fishy way of avoiding taxes). I don’t understand what the mommy comment accomplished, I didn’t come in like some whiny brat. I wanted to switch the AC and when I felt push back from you, I just said it was suggested by my mother just to get it over with."
"One of the male staff behind the desk, probably the owner (heavy set and tall) because he did not fear speaking in such an unprofessional way. He speaks out of place and is one of the most condescending and rudest people I have ever encountered in the professional world. He is extremely opinionated about people's personal lives and seeks to start discussions with an argument. Very uncalm and angry individual. Overall disrespectful and blatantly unpleasant in his encounters. Extremely poor customer service skills. Probably has not yet faced repercussions so he learns there should be boundaries to how you speak to customers especially."
"Team was great. Richard, the owner, was super kind, really knows what he's talking about, and helped us think through what option was best for us. They installed an AC at our place, that's now running like a charm (and they did it within a day!). Very happy with the outcome - they come highly recommended!"
