The Old Spot Hotpot 老地方非尝麻辣火锅

"Ordered take out, never delivered, called restaurant, restaurant asked me to contact HungryPanda and hang up on me multiple times. Never got my order, now having my husband call to inform them we are filing a dispute. Never ordering from this restaurant again. Update: Food got delivered close to three hours after I ordered, by then, I had told restaurant multiple times to cancel the order and got alternative takeout. HungryPanda did issue a refund (after multiple calls and lots of heated exchange). But the restaurant did nothing, not a single apology. In fact, the restaurant insisted on making the transaction despite my instructions to cancel the order. What really made me upset was not that the order was late, it was 1) the restaurant asking ME to contact the platform to get the driver to go and pick up the food (this is not my job, I made an order online, paid in full including a good tip, I should not be working our the logistics for you on how it is going to get here). 2) hanging up in me when I was only trying to check on the status of my food (yes, hard to believe, and it made me furious, first time I thought the line cutoff accidentally then realized they were doing this on purpose because when I called back they would pickup then hang up, multiple times!). 3) insisting on making the transaction happening despite me, after finally getting through, told them to cancel, despite the fact they were SO late with the order (and the order was marked it delivered close to 2 hours before it was!) Again, I will not purchase from this restaurant ever again, whatever they delivered to me went straight to the trash. Sorry Old Spot, your customers do not operate on your schedule, and we don’t beg you to give you our business. 大家注意了，千万小心这家，我点的外卖没有收到，打电话店里态度恶劣推脱让我找平台。我联系不上平台，他们就不停的扣我电话。已经去找信用卡公司去dispute了。以前经常在这家吃的，也算是老顾客，不知道怎么就这样了。反正我是不会再去了。"

"There was 3 Staff memebers that only spoke their native language however, they communicated with my friend and I through translation on a phone. Extremely friendly and we came in during a rush hour. Making their online orders, getting them out as quick as they can all while serving my friend and I. They were very busy, my friend and I respected and appreciated their hard work. AMAZING FOOD!! We couldn’t finish our meal, they gave out large portions and more. I’m very happy I came here again and met a new staff that were very friendly and cheerful. Made us feel at home. Definitely coming back here! For those wondering of pricing, it’s a little pricey but we ordered alot for two. You choose what you want to eat and pricing is next to the item. We spent about $80."

"Bad food! Expensive price! The quality of the food was not reflective of its steep price point. I found the dishes to be lacking in flavor, freshness, and general appeal. It was immediately evident that the ingredients used were not up to par, leaving much to be desired in terms of taste and presentation. Even more concerning was the adverse effect the meal had on my stomach shortly after consuming it. It is deeply regrettable that a meal from a restaurant with such pricing would result in physical discomfort and unease."

"Great find in the area! We were just walking around and discovered this place. The skewers were very tasty and I wish I ordered more! The hotpot soup was not too flavorful, but they had a good variety of dishes and the meat was pretty fresh. A good late night snack place"
