"I had been struggling to find a real hair technician since i've moved to NYC. Everywhere I went; I could only find good looking over priced souless salons which seems more like a social influencer hub than an actual hair salon/barber with really skilled hair stylists. Today I stumbled into Level 78 as it's close to where I live and needed a fix. It was refreshing to see that all of their staff were above the age of 40 which to me was a real sign that this is a place where the stylists are really experienced. I had an appointment through their online system which assigned me to Irina. I had the pleasure to sit and see her finish a cut as I was early to my appointment and suddenly got very excitied that I was next as the level of finess in her cut and the precision was obvious. At the amazing price of 35 USD, I got a haircut, neck shave, hot towel as well as a massage ( They have a top up of 5 USD if you want scissors only and no buzzer, which I didn't hesitate to opt for as Irina is clearly skilled). All and all, what I didn't expect is that while my haircut hasn't changed in the last 5 years as I had been struggling to find a real stylist, Irina suggested some ameliorations which really brought my cheekbones forward, brough more light to my eyes, which now makes me likely a client for life! It's so amazing when you have an expert you can rely on to make you look your best. This is the first time in 5 years that my haircut style has changed and I feel so refreshed and confident leaving this barbershop. I have immediately recommended to my friend to pay a visit on the same day, cause the service and quality of work is beyond 5 star. Truly a gem on the upper east side!"
