"BEWARE! This Agency is the Height of Incompetence . At the end of May 2018 my relative, after faithfully paying for 17 years, went into this agency and informed them she sold her car because she was moving to Florida and did not need an AWD car there. Since it was going to be a couple of months before she would obtain another car the coverage was cancelled. Here is where the “Height of Incompetence” comes in. This so called ‘Service Agency’ did not bother to advise her that if she temporarily suspends her coverage, and then obtains another car, her 17 year good driving record would continue without any penalty; giving her a similar discounted rate. After 2-1/2 months she bought a car, went into a Florida Allstate agent, and was told they could not consider her 17 year record due the fact that the coverage was cancelled and not suspended. When she contact Mr Sorrentino, being the professional that he’s not, he promptly blamed the customer stating “You should have asked for the suspension”. He then proceeded to do nothing and my relative was told by the Florida agent her Allstate rate would “now be more than doubled”."
