"The guys moved too fast and left patches of uncut hair on my head. Don't bother wasting your money."

"I will never have may haircut in this shop again. Spend your money where you want but know who you're spending it with. While receiving a haircut, I was adjacent to a white patron who was also receiving a haircut and speaking loudly throughout his cut. At several points during his conversation he freely and continuously used the N-Word. I approached him with a question after my cut ended "why do you feel so comfortable using N-Word?" He didn't respond, I asked again, his barber to attempted to answer but I cautioned him that his client could answer for himself. Eventually, he responded that his barber was Dominican and because they're friends he could say it, he went further to tell me that he was saying it with "a" not with an "ER" and "our" culture today its not like that. I explained that there is "a history, a legacy and social condition attached to that word that he could never be subjected to" furthermore "I asked why would you even want to say it?" He questioned "yea but did you go through any of those things?" The entire situation devolved from there with the other barbers in the shop escalating the situation, with the Owner Carlos telling me that "he's a customer he can say what he wants", I responded "I'm also a customer, can I not ask a question?" At that point he attempted to physically remove me, I advised him not try that again, he relented. Then the white patron threatened to call the cops because he felt uncomfortable. I invited him to call the police and inform them that he's calling because "I asked him a question". I didn't leave as I waited for him to call the police. He then shouted from across the shop "you're not Malcolm X". I never threatened or initiated physical contact with anyone but was threatened with police and fended off attempted physicality. As a Black man I will never have my haircut here again."

"I loooove this hair salon! Have been coming here for years. All the girls are good. I get my hair done by Sylvia and she is amazing. Always available, always with a smile, and willing to open earlier or stay till late. I would 1000% recommend this place!"

"We always see Muñeca. She does an excellent job with our hair. She is patient with children and my daughter always feels fabulous when she leaves. I wish they had more choice in hair color, or a color specialist. Aside from that, I am very happy with the services."
