"As a new patient, my first impression was great. The staff are wonderful - friendly, attentive and helpful - especially when it comes to insurance. The office is immaculate and Dr. Magotch was also great - thorough and a dentist who makes your visit pleasant. However, there were 2 areas that needed improvement: I had to wait almost an hour after having my teeth cleaned to see Dr. Magotch. When I mentioned this to my husband, a long time patient, he said that was unusual. So, maybe it was due to the fact that everyone was getting their teeth cleaned before the end of the year? My other quasi-negative comment: Dr. Magotch told me I needed Invisalign. So, that's fine - but his team didn't do a great job explaining the process to me; cost breakdown, etc. I was just told that I needed it to the tune of $5,100! And, if I wanted to get started, I could get the scan done that day which would cost me $300 and that would be deducted from the $5,100. I decided to proceed with the scan for $300. When I went home, I did some additional research on Invisalign. As part of my due diligence, I went to 2 other dentists for free Invisalign consultations. Each consultation included an examination and a scan - FOR FREE! Why did Dr. Magotch charge me $300 for the scan when every other dentist who provided consults didn’t charge anything? Every dentist I spoke with regarding consults didn’t charge…so, I guess I’m a fool for doing my due diligence after the initial scan with Dr. Magotch and paying him $300. I’ll continue to go to him for my regular dental needs - but will go to an Invisalign specialist who charges significantly less (over $1K less) and didn’t charge me for a consult."
