Reviews of Turning Point
"We attended the New Year's Eve show with Popa Chubby, and it was amazing!"
"Just a cute , little music venue. A wonderful place to really hear & see an artist or artists. It's very intimate. No eating during the show. Upstairs is a Mexican restaurant where you can eat & then go downstairs for the show or you can order from a small menu from upstairs & eat before the show. It's run very well. It's all about the artists being able to perform & the audience appreciating & being entertained in a very warm, cozy atmosphere. And outside you're next to the Hudson River & can take a stroll through the lovely, quaint town."
"I go there to listen to John Richmond play the Sax. He great usually has excellent accompaniment on Monday nights. The cafe is small and intimate. The food they serve from the Mexican restaurant upstairs is good."
"Well kept club with a bar area and food service from the upstairs Mexican restaurant. Last night, Rockin' Rob Stoner was the featured entertainment. His legendary session work noted for playing bass for Don McLain (American Pie) and music director for Bob Dylan (1975-1979). John McAvoy, legendary owner/operator of The Turning Point has kept the club thriving since the 1970's and was a pleasure to return."
"The food was delicious. I had the southern chicken with waffles. The meat was well seasoned. I just wished it was regular chicken instead of chicken tenders. I’m definitely going back. Also would have loved to have one closer to my home in New York City."
