"We waited a LONG time for this. We were told 30 min, but ended up being just over an hour (for a table, not counter seating). They apologized and gave us some rolls on the house which was appreciated. We got the pre set menus which were pretty good. I loved the tuna and salmon the most, the tuna edged out the salmon sashimi for me. I liked the tuna/salmon with ponzu sauce dish a lot. The bluefin otoro was not nearly as good as what I remembered, and I liked the other tuna dish more than this premium one. Ah well, I fell for the hype there."
"The wait was too long, almost 90 minutes in the middle of the week on a Thursday. Ambiance is ok, but the place was too crowded, and the tables were too close to each other. I could easily hear the conversation of the couple sitting next to us. The food is great, best sushi I ever had, worth the long wait, but the portion size is small, not enough to justify a cost of $70 per person. We ordered "The Nowaza Trust Me". So, high stars for the quality but low for the quantity. May revisit, but, won't be a regular."
"Ive heard lots about sugarfish. Glad to finally try it! It was good for what its worth. Some might say its a little over priced but it is also new york. Went for lunch. It was super busy but maybe waited 10 mins? They serve as soon as the rolls are made so the rice is very warm and tasted fresh. Good quality fish they have. We got one of the combo menus which was called “Trust me.” Overall flavors are tasty and mild. I will have to say the ponzu sauce is a little strong. The one other thing I wish is the rice was cooled down just a little bit. The rice being warm does take away the flavor from the fish. Worth trying if you cant decide what sushi place to hit!"
"Very nice and intimate atmosphere with good service. My group of 3 got the Nozawa Trust Me, and overall it was great. The fish was fresh, and the courses had a mix of staples and unique dishes. One of our friends did feel a bit rushed with the timing of courses/service. The price is very reasonable, and love that the tip is included in the price."
"High quality sushi at a decent price — would definitely come back again! We got the nozawa trust me tasting menu. I was absolutely stuffed at the end, but the guys at our table ordered one or two additional things off the menu afterwards (beware: later in the night, many items sell out). Next time I would get the trust me/lite but it was nice to try a bit of everything. Our server was super kind and efficient which is always a plus."
