"Interesting and creative sushi place. Some dishes are really good - white tuna sushi with seared tomato and triple decker with caviar and uni. Other dishes are not so good, such as fried chicken and seaweed salad. But overall, it is a good sushi spot in the city"
"Had dinner myself and was given a table in the front corner of the restaurant by the door despite a completely vacant dining room. I was joined by plenty of fruit flies constantly landing in and around my food and sake glass. The wall next to the table was filthy. I am only giving 2 stars because I’ve been here for omakase before and it was delicious but this time I’m very disappointed. I got the sushi and sashimi combo and it was mostly a deep fried roll.. certainly not worth $65 for this entree. I was ignored by my waiter as we made eye contact and I was trying to waive the flies out of my face and off of my food and he said nothing. Last pictures are of the wall covered with flies. Gross!"
"Truly amazing, All omakaze are so tasty, yet delicate. This location are always busy which is good thing for them! So Reservation is recommended. The service also go along with food quality. Nice and friendly. The timing between each dish during busy time might take around 10-15min. We complete the whole set and total spend time there around 3hr. It’s a nice gathering with friend, family or coworker to have conversation during special dinner."
"Absolutely delicious omakase for a pretty penny. They do open omakase so it keeps going until you ask for it to close off. If you have a budget, you can estimate at about $40 per plate round. We came here for our anniversary dinner and was pleasantly blown away. Every piece of fish we had was really interesting and incredibly tasty. The fatty tuna melts without needing to chew in your mouth, the oyster was just the right amount of brininess that my partner who usually dislikes oysters was happy with the flavour while I love a very strong oyster which this hit the right spot for. Their sautéed tomatoes compliments the other dishes very well, the scallop is very tender with the right amount of salt and lemon, and my favourite might’ve been then tofu sushi with tuna and tofu sauce! Overall it was quite crowded for a Friday night at 7pm and the area inside the restaurant is quite small. Consider coming earlier or calling to make a reservation ahead of time."
"Sushi Seki has great sushi, and it is open very late too! Come in, sit at the sushi bar, say "omikase", and lots of great sushi appears. Third time here. I think it was even better than the last time. The great pieces of nigari just keep showing up. Anyway, they’re all so good!"
