"Benihana Short Hills is a good restaurant to dine in and get hibachi style Japanese ! The Rocky’s Mix Is good grilled chicken and steak just wished both had more flavor too it it was plain to me looked great but plain ! "The fun element was definitely there! And as long as you don't expect an authentic Japanese cuisine from your experience (with a fat wallet), you will certainly enjoy your meal. We came here after watching an episode on Jimmy Kimmel about changing their careers to be a Benihana chef - I now have a lot more appreciation for the chefs there, seeing some of the trainings that they have to go through. The upgrade to the fried rice was worth it. My steak was rare and juicy, exactly as I asked for. The lobster was a bit dry, tho."

"Skip the gimmick, because they are certainly skipping on the service. You are paying top dollar to be herded in and herded out. Go to a top quality steakhouse instead for the same price and skip this “experience”. Once we were done being served dinner they didn’t come back to check on us or bus the table, just to bring us the check and hustle us out of there for the next group. definitely a one and done kind of place!"
