"On par with hospital food but aligned with the prices of a fancy restaurant. Tasteless, bland and dry, like eating pieces of a cardboard. Everything—from a simple plastic fork to apples— is wrapped in plastic. 1/3 of the total weight of my order was plastic waste. And this mere feet from exhibits detailing human impact on the environment. How ironic and, in 2023, frankly discouraging. The AMNH can surely do better."

"1/5 stars The Cafe on One inside the Museum of Natural History was a disappointment. The food selection was limited and unappealing, with cold and unappetizing dishes that left much to be desired. The food was hard and colder than a rock, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. On top of that, the prices were steep for the quality of the food. To add insult to injury, there was no oven in the kitchen, which was a major inconvenience. Based on our experience, we do not recommend eating at the Cafe on One and suggest finding another food option."
