"I rarely give bad reviews, but I think thing one deserves one.I came with great expectations, and was really disappointed with the burger. The cheese on the Cheese fries is better than average. But the burger was small and the meat was dry. To make things worse, I waited almost 15 minutes in a near empty store to get my food. They are not busy. I can't imagine what's the wait time would be like if they were busy. I'd much rather pick five guy's over this."

"It’s a great higher end fast food hamburger place. The staff are friendly and you can order from a computer screen so no need to speak to anyone. The burgers are excellent and the restaurant is well laid out with plenty of space, it’s clean, light and comfortable. It’s my go-to burger spot in Jersey City."

"Ordered a shack burger. The beef was significantly overcooked. It was dark and totally burned. It must have been in really high heat oven for really long time. I ordered burger from other shake shack sites multiple times and order burger from many other restaurants but have NEVER seen beef like this. I ordered it using Mealpal. Not sure if they treat customers from mealpal in a "special" way."

Thank you!* Nothing at all against the location or staff, as both are absolutely great, however, I ordered a Chicken Shack to go and once I returned home and saw it, I laughed out loud. The chicken piece was flat as a pancake! The website photo shows a succulent, thick chunk of chicken (see left photo) but what I received was not even half an inch in thickness. It was thinner than a McChicken. I've always loved the food at Shake Shack and was over the moon to see they'd opened locally, but this sandwich was ridiculous, plus it was 7pm, so it's not like it was the end of the night and they were using the last items in stock. This is the first time I've ever been hungry after eating Shake Shack! I feel utterly robbed."
