Greek Taverna - Montclair

"We had my in-laws wedding anniversary lunch at Greek Taverna Montclair in December 2023. I highly recommend this place. The staff were amazing, delicious food, great ambiance, and hospitable staff especially Nick, Ana and Carlos. They all went above and beyond. We had kids and we had seniors in our party. It has its own parking lot and no steps, a plus for mobility issues!"

"What a surprise this was. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we knew that we were in for a fantastic time. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The aromas from the kitchen were inviting. The server had a humorous and attentive quality. We had two appetizers for our dinner along with the delicious warm seasoned pita they served. The cold grilled eggplant had a creaminess to it and went well with the warm pita. We chose this seafood appetizer that was like an entree enough for two people. It was cooked to perfection. Grilled shrimp, grilled calamari and grilled octopus all in a delicious oil based sauce. It was to die for. What an unbelievable dinner. We actually had room for dessert so we tried their fillo dough wrapped around some fresh melty cheese with sugar and cinnamon on top. Overall it was a fantastic meal and a top notch restaurant. Everything was perfect."

"This wonderful boite in Montclair has free parking adjoining the restaurant, which is very rare in Montclair. The food was good, the prices were remarkably reasonable and the service was great. The restaurant was empty on a Saturday afternoon."

"Really nice looking restaurant with tasty food but the service was very slow. We were seated right away but the waitress was busy talking to her co workers for 15-20 minutes before we were asked if we were ready to order. They definitely attempted to make up for the delay by bringing us a basket of really excellent grilled pita along with a sampling of dips. The seafood was all cooked perfectly and came out tender and delectable."
