"Clean and welcoming. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Seems to be a popular lunch spot, as people continue to arrive. So, they must be doing something right. Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with my meal. Ordered ham and cheese omelet. The omelet lacked ham and barely had any cheese. The home fries were plain view greasy and tasted as such. I was just passing through the area, so most likely, I will not return."

"Great place for breakfast, especially on a weekday when it's less busy. Friendly, attentive service and a homey, cozy, welcoming vibe. The place has been updated and is always very clean. Their spinach, tomato, and feta omelet is outstanding, and they kindly accommodated my request for fresh spinach (not frozen). The home fries were ample and nice and crispy. For me, ordering run-of-the-mill multi-grain toast for an extra $2.99 wasn't worth it. Next time I'll stick with regular wheat or rye. Ample parking in the back. This one's a keeper!"

"I grew up and Caldwell. A friend and I were visiting and decided to go to the diner for old times sake. Wow! The food and service was not The Colony Diner of the 1970s, instead we were we so impressed. I got the Fettuccine Alfredo and everything about it was excellent. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the texture and taste and amount of the alfredo sauce was spot on, and the chicken was very tender. My friend got her all-time favorite, which was a Ruben and she said it was the best she ever had. Not to mention the french fries were crispy and well seasoned on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. We split a piece of plain cheesecake and it was delicious. Not too dense and not too late. Our server was friendly and attentive. Next time I’m in town The Caldwell Diner will definitely be one of my stops."

"Felt like meatloaf tonight. Saw they had meatloaf parmigiana. I said I’d give it a shot. Not bad. Nice fresh vegetables and mashed potato’s. Nice chicken and rice soup came with meal. Was a bit salty but good… potato skins weren’t bad either….:"

"Service was fast and good. Food was above average. My husband ordered the omelet and I got 2 eggs one without the yolk with corned beef - eggs were cooked perfectly sunny side up and runny just how I like it . I read the good reviews about their cheesecake and got it and it surely did not disappoint. It was the exact texture I enjoy in a cheesecake. Cute little spot. Better than most diners out there for sure."
