"I'm not sure what happened to this Starbucks, but they have certainly gone downhill. Gone are the days of greeting your guests, or smiling even, which has been replaced by them talking amongst themselves and you feeling like an inconvenience for "interrupting" them. The drive thru is never open- but you can still place a drive thru order on the app- and you have to drive around the building to find out because the sign is still lit. There is 1 older gentleman that works sometimes in the mornings, and he is always a pleasure- him, and the location, will keep me coming for now."
"The relocated Starbucks in Madison has significant and ongoing management problems. Example: I ordered a latte and the manager said it would be 5 minutes. There were 6 people standing near the pick-up counter when I got there. The same 6, plus an additional 2, were there when I left. There were also a few cars waiting for drive-through service. After waiting a total of 20 minutes, I gave up and asked for a refund. This has happened on multiple occasions. It’s clear that this location is NOT able to manage the mix of in-person, online, and drive-through orders."
"I don't know what's happened to Starbucks, or at least this one--it used to have good customer service. Since this place moved across the street, getting to the drive-in window is like threading a labyrinth. Then, no one came to the window or answered the door, even though the lights were on and someone was eating inside. The people behind the counter totally ignored me when I knocked. Maybe it was closed, you say? Well, the sign clearly said they were open till 8pm on Saturday, and I got there at 6:30 pm. They couldn't pay me to go back there, and I suggest you avoid them also."
"WHAT is going on at this location? Ever since they moved across the street it’s been bad. Another reviewer here wrote about someone shutting the window on them. I had a similar experience I was asking a question the cashier could not answer it. I asked to speak to somebody who could answer and she said nobody was here and aggressively shut the window in my face. This was after sassing me thru my entire transaction. Also, they can see you in your car when you order but you can’t see them. They do have the ability to turn the camera on but they don’t. If they did you can see who’s taking your order and get the hell out of there if it’s the woman who shuts the window in peoples faces. Because she’s still there. Why does the price change on a daily basis? When I order the same thing every morning it costs X on Monday Y on Tuesday and Z on Wednesday? I’m afraid to ask because I don’t want the window slammed in my face again. The wait times are ridiculous even if you order ahead on the app unless you use the drive up. But don’t ask any questions or you’ll get the window shut in your face. As for the inventory, they routinely run out of product for days on end. Cold brew, protein boxes, etc. Florham park and Chatham are better all around but it’s out of my way on a weekday work morning. Can corporate please fix the ills of the Madison location and make it the great place it once was?"
"Nice location but I’ve gone through the drive thru multiple times and they never make the drinks right. Last two times I went they didn’t put the cold foam on, which I pay a good amount extra for. I looked at the drink and told the drive thru worker “the foam isn’t on this”, and she just goes “yes it is.” And closed the window. The foam wasn’t on it, no syrup in it either. I work at a Starbucks too and so I understand that it’s a busy atmosphere but come on, people pay so much for these drinks. Not that hard to read the ticket and make it correctly, I’d rather wait a little extra longer than waste my money."
