"I have been living here nearly 4 years, in two different apartments. The second apartment is one of the newly remodeled units. I have been extremely pleased with how the renovations turned out. Completely night and day! All the staff here have been extremely helpful as well, from lease transfers, to the simplest maintenance requests. They do an incredible job here!"

"I have lived in this complex since the pandemic happened in 2020. I absolutely love it here! The office staff and maintenance are all super nice and look out for me. I always recommend this complex when someone is searching. Maintenance, especially Mike, are all fantastic. They are always saying hey, petting my dog and stopping for a quick chat when driving by. I love that the office shares a dog bone (or two) when we go in as well! The best place in VB OMO and in a great area! Cant recommend it here enough."

"I had and continue to have such a pleasant experience at The Courtyards of Chanticleer! Even though the community is in a great location and well-kept, it's the people here that make this place home. Before I moved in, I toured the community and was able to see the amenities and how fresh, clean and kept the property is. The leasing staff was down to earth and transparent about what to expect living there which I appreciated. I was impressed and ready for move in. During my move-in, I worked with the leasing team who are very professional, thoroughly presented the leasing process and submitted all of my paperwork almost effortlessly. They truly cared about my move-in experience and was always patient with me, ready to answer my questions. I feel very welcomed and at home here. Much gratitude for the leasing staff and maintenance team (LOVE THEM) who keeps our community safe and running smoothly!"

"I’ve loved living at the Courtyards of Chanticleer ever since moving to Virginia Beach! In the years I’ve lived here, the maintenance team has taken care of each of my issues (small ones) within 24 hours and with great care. They check in even after a ticket has been serviced to make sure everything is still working. Special shoutout to Austin, Mike and Jamie! The office staff, especially the Property Manager, Andy and Jackie, have been tremendously helpful to me each time I’ve had a question (and I have a lot of them). Thanks for all your help, Courtyards! This place really has been home."

"Pros of this place: very pet friendly with no breed restrictions. The staff, management and maintenance crew are always good to me with the exception of one. Neighbors are fine and everyone stays to themselves. Location is good, close to everything and oceanfront. HOWEVER. Please don’t rent here. This is your sign. I’ve been here barely 3 months and have 70 million pages of work orders already. Maintenance is at my house almost once a week since I’ve moved in. Just had water leak (when I say leak, i mean buckets of water came through my ceiling into my kitchen) from my upstairs bathroom due to paint being dumped down the neighboring townhouse toilet drain. The “renovations” done by an outside crew are rushed and careless to say the least, but the courtyards still uses them. The office hasn’t even called to say anything about this or offer anything, not like I expected them too but dang. If you do move in here, scour your apartment when you move in for messed up areas, take pictures and request maintenance any time something is wrong. Water bugs. I get that’s a thing of living close to the water. But again, scour your house. Our apartment at time of move in had holes in the HVAC closet (submitted a work order and nothing was done) and the glass door was uneven (which maintenance couldn’t fix but they didn’t replace it either). These holes and uneven door was allowing water bugs to get into our house constantly. You pay for “trash” which is just you taking your trash to a large dumpster which is always unkempt. You pay for sewer runoff, which is a scam if you ask me. They hype this place up but don’t be fooled. Pay a bit more money and go elsewhere.
