"My Mom lives here and is moving out because of the unfriendly staff and the fact they don't want to fix anything. They are slum lord's. They had a roach problem, plumbing issues and mold. You can get sick if you're elderly and already have some health problems. They need to do better."
"Bathrooms are not designed for seniors, especially not for disabled seniors. Toilets are the low to the floor cheap toilets. No walk in bathtubs or showers. Shower transfer seats do not help because the bathtubs are so small in width and high off the floor making it dangerous. The outside appearance is terrible. Dirty walls. The rent amount being charged is outrageous for what is offered and the way this place looks."
"As one of the builders of the Commons it has not been well taken care of. It seems that I am a fall guy and blamed for whatever breaks down in the apartment Also we finished the building in 1985. The management claims it was 2000. My daughter was born when we about finished this falling down apartments in 1985. Another thing my lady Kay and I are with the National Animal Humane Society. We go around and feed stray cats and other animals. WE BELONG TOO A NATIONAL INSTITUTE! The management puts a high price tag on the pets. Too high for us seniors on Social Security. Each pet is 200.00 plus 25.00 per animal. Cats are set lose on the property everywhere and they are hungry. We do feed them and will for as long as we breathe. Most are fixed and had shots. One of these cats was killed the other day he was hit by a careless driver. If there were no pet deposit he would still be alive. I had to bury him the other day. As I was crying and cursing the driver who killed him the maintenance man Willie overheard me fusing and he thought that I was talking about him.He accused me of threatening him. NO JUST GRIEF FOR MY CAT."
"Nothing has changed for the better. Buildings are deteriorating. Manager is totally ineffective. Rent increased $65 in 2020 and $57 in 2021 and rent is not the same for the Section 42 tenants. Some are paying $100 a month less than others. Maintenance not allowed to purchase supplies for work orders, so tenants wait weeks or months for work to be done. Many younger people living with their elderly relatives who cause disturbances. Rules and regulations are not enforced. I would stay far away. And, yes, that is a sofa on a porch from this summer."
