"First, I have to give all the appreciation to Noah. I lived here for a few months in 2023 and had to end my lease, and Donna during this time was kind and understanding! My husband and I decided we wanted to return to this complex, and I had the absolute pleasure to be working with Noah again! He always communicates everything efficiently and let me tell you… I email and call Noah at least twice a week with a different question and he’s always so kind and informative! During my stay in 2023, I had an issue with my dryer around a holiday, and they had the appropriate staff come and check it out the next day! Once again, all the thanks to Noah and his positive attitude and kindness. It’s a pleasure communicating with people who are passionate about their work and know it doesn’t hurt to be nice to people. There were other complexes I called when I was first looking to live in Virginia and some of them I turned away because of the way they treated me over the phone."
"I’m currently deployed and I have been calling different places to check availability. I wanted to secure a place so coming back would be smooth sailings and less work. Due to renovations they are no longer accepting online apps. I get it. I called to see if they could email or fax me an app. Nope. I even had a family member go in to see if they could get an app and fax it to me. I would complete it and pay funds through them. Nope. My family member was told that they only give apps to the person moving in or those that would be on the lease. I understand policy and procedure but this is disheartening that they wouldn’t even attempt to work with me. Update since management responded. If this was communicated to my family member we would have understood, instead we were told we would get a call from a leasing agent to explain which never happened. It took for me to leave a review to get an response. Noted."
"I toured the community twice before making the decision to rent there and both times Noah was my guide. He was very chill but professional. He answered all of my questions with much patience and I greatly appreciated that. Despite only being able to see the 2 bedroom show room, Noah broke down what I would expect to see in a one bedroom. I had to pay $100 deposit to view the 1 bedroom that I was planning on moving in to. I wasn’t discouraged paying the deposit because I had already made up my mind at this point and the deposit goes towards the security deposit. The lady (forgot her name sorry!) showed me the apartment that I was going to lease. She was very nice and professional and addressed all of my questions. I am very excited for my move. (Im moving into the newly renovated one bedroom apartment and it’s nice!) Edit When I was given the keys to my new apartment and walked through it, there were a few things that needed to be addressed. (uneven baseboards, hole in wall behind stove, gaping hole in ceiling above the water heater) Jeff, the maintenance man, was not only efficient in addressing/fixing my issues, he was very kind and easy to talk to. The apartment was still mostly empty but Jeff still respected my space by not leaving a mess behind his work. I’m so glad to be living in a community where the maintenance team takes their work seriously and professionally. Shout out to Jeff!"

"I have lived here for almost a year .My experience at Chartwell has been nothing less than amazing .They respond quickly to any and all problems or concerns.They are very professional ,And do any and everything to make the living experience here flawless .I love my apartment .I do have a couple complaints , which I guess management can’t control . 1. I have a loud and annoying neighbor that moved in after me ,he yells in his living room constantly and has no respect for other tenants . 2.The upgraded hallway lights which have been added for “extra security” attract tons of bugs that get in your apartment at night when you open your door .Aside of my minor complaints as a tenant . I would definitely recommend this apartments complex to anyone . Update : I received a letter letting me know I have to leave my apartment in 120 days , I just renewed my lease for another 12 months , supposed to end 01/2023 , I am out of work on disability due to having a baby 3 weeks ago , now have the stress of finding another place and having to go back to work while dealing with a newborn and moving . Very frustrating and nothing is being done to help . I have had the BEST experience living here up until now . NOT RECOMMENDED , this could happen to anyone ."
