"This review is for both Yorktown Square and Rivermeade as they are both managed by the same office. The person I spoke with when I called was incredibly rude. The management office told me they don't keep a number system of their waiting list, so they can't tell me how many people are waiting to get into the apartments. Um, wut? You have no knowledge of how many applications that are currently waiting? Does that mean you don't keep track of them? I called two other Community Housing Partner complexes who gave me exact numbers immediately when I called. They went even further to give me helpful explanations. One said that even though they currently have 10 people on the waiting list, usually the first 5 or so they call move quickly off the list as they've already found something else. (See how helpful and easy that is?) AND she was rude about it. Like my expectations to find out easy information was unreasonable. CHP needs to find better people to run this property."
"Management is absolutely awful. They don’t answer to maintenance requests. Our power has been cutting out for up to hours at a time for over a week now and they refuse to do anything “unless they see it out” it’s the middle of the summer, and our AC as well as children’s room goes completely dark for hours. Dominion has come out and said without a doubt it’s on them. When they actually do answer the phone they’re rude and try blaming you. Then they hang up on you and continue to not have anyone come out. I highly suggest if you have any other options to avoid this place at all costs. Not to mention after they signed a paper guaranteeing a safe and CLEAN apartment, we moved all our stuff in and the apartment was infested with roaches. I myself had to pay Orkin to come out “because it was a weekend”. They do not care about their tenants WHAT SO EVER. And they’ll give you an attitude any time something inconvenient happens as if it’s not their job to deal with these things."
"Extremely bad customer service, they never answer the phone, The apartments are dirty, and not maintained at all, if you have a broken appliance or something that needs fixing, you can call but nobody tends to show up."
"The community is pretty nice and quiet. However, I am in the process of applying there now and I’ve had my application in for three weeks they have my full deposit and I’m still waiting to hear whether I can move in or not. I was supposed to move in on the first I’m now staying at a hotel and all of my things are still in storage and still having to pay for storage when I have had a move-in date for two weeks at this point. I think it’s pretty unprofessional and it seems like they lack urgency. Whoever makes the decisions there does not care about their customers time. I am literally waiting on an update about my son’s daycare expenses going up in May how long does it take to figure that out."
"Unfortunately there seems to be no sound insulation in these units and the management doesn't respond to noise complaints. They placed a family with small children above us with a male who works 3 pm to 11 pm and stays up till 3 AM and is completely inconsiderate. We haven't had a night of uninterrupted sleep since they moved in 2 months ago. Working full time and commuting, all I ask for is a quiet night. I guess if the management reached out and acknowledged my complaint and did something about it I wouldn't mind living here. But they didn't respond to calls, voicemail or written letter. When I had time off because I was sick, I finally went in the office in person and she said that maybe in 2 months there would be unit... But nothing specific. It took over 2 months to get a leaky faucet replaced. The office actually forgot about our request. I would not recommend this place. It feels like our business just doesn't matter to the ownership."
