Walmart Vision & Glasses

"Very convenient to get a thorough, professional eye exam by a licensed and very experienced Optometrist, Dr. Chmielewski, in his small but efficient clinic and then order new glasses and/or lenses at the Walmart Vision Center right next door. Dr. C. was very honest about the condition of my cornea on the right eye that was very, very slightly clouded but not in any fashion even close to requiring cataract corrective surgery. I had been recently told by a tech at an Amherst Street Ophthalmologist that I would need cataract surgery very soon, and, surprise, surprise, one of the doctors at that clinic specializes in those surgeries. Conflict of interests? But trust Dr. C. and the Vision Center with your eyecare, you will be in good hands. Uber expensive machinery to study the retina of one's eyes does not necessarily mean that the results will be superior to a visual examination that is made by a doctor with over 20 years of optometry experience. Technology is great, but you pay for it on your way out the door."

"I believe I had overpaid on my eye exam. The work gives 100.00,s for an exam and still had to pay 40.00 on the exam. Couldn't get frames there because their don't take the insurance. Didn't know until after I got the exam. Very disappointing."

"The employees were very nice. I wanted a light weight lens, so I got the trivex lens. I have had my glasses 7 months and paid $398.00 for them. My frames were $68.00, so $330.00 went on the lens. They are so scratched I cannot see out of them. I take very good care of how I treat and clean my glasses and at night put them in their hard case. I am not pleased with the lens. Would not recommend this lens. I have gotten other pairs of glasses there but always the poly lens. I have always been pleased with the other lenes."
