"Vinayam is an absolutely astounding concept and being. The arrival of Vinaya into my life in the guise of a yoga instructor was revolutionary. I’ve spent years of my life struggling with chronic pain, ptsd, and related depression and anxiety. It seemed incurable. I had no hope for anything, I believed in nothing. I visited doctor after doctor, psychiatrist and therapist one after the other, I truly wasn’t able to live a joyous or free life- all until I met Vinaya. For the first time I wanted to go see a practitioner. I didn’t miss sessions like I would with past therapists, she didn’t make me cry and delve into trauma, nor did she coddle me and enable me. She was and continues to be a helping hand in the darkest of times. A life without the things I’ve learned through Vinaya is unimaginable today. I would never choose to go back. What seemed to be a never ending, hopeless death sentence had finally come to an end. I am able to thrive and manage my pain, and overcome past habits in a manner that can only be referred to as miraculous, and I continue to learn new things from Vinaya with every meeting. I’ve returned to old hobbies and pastimes that I thought were forever lost. I feel I have become more myself than I’ve been in a long time. For that, I am grateful. Vinaya is much more than just a yoga instructor; she has skills beyond most anyone I’ve met. I am grateful for the opportunity to have met Vinaya and am blessed to be working with her."
