"If I could give her 0 stars I would. She argued with me on video call about not being able to find psychological test results that Kaiser behavioral health team had me complete, and asked me why they gave me the stated test because this test was also supposedly invalid. I just got a questionnaire provided to me regarding my concerns and then was called from behavioral health to have this test appointment made… I am no psychologist or psychiatrist so I couldn’t answer these questions and she kept getting visibly angry with me raising her voice and interrupting me. I feel like I had been strung along by kaiser making this appointment after being referred to a therapist through kaiser to review my test results who couldn’t help me and then being referred to the psychiatrist who was now just berating me for following through with kaisers referrals and recommendations. I started to cry feeling overwhelmed and unheard and she told me I was overreacting to the situation. She has absolutely no compassion. When I went on to discuss depression and anxiety she tried to tell me I was lying and not actually taking one of the medications I am currently on…. I pulled out my medication and went through each pill and to no surprise I am actually on the medication I said I was."

"Dr. Verma is not a people person. She might be board certified to practice psychiatry but she does not understand the nuances of talking to a person who is in need of help. Can a doctor help patients if she lacks compassion? Seeking help for mental health was a big hurdle for me. Dr. Verma acted like I was just an object going through her conveyer belt of treatment. She was dismissive when I asked her about ADHD. Her reaction made me feel like it was a big mistake to even mention ADHD since “everyone thinks they have ADHD now!” She brushed me off and gave me a very standard, robotic, telemarketer’s spiel about testing for ADHD. I also had concerns about my overall mental health. She listened for a few minutes (my appointment was supposed to be for 30 minutes) and gave me a prescription for anti-depressants. I have family who practice medicine and know that every doctor was getting overworked at this time so I chalked the experience as a really bad day for an overworked physician. I had to follow up with Dr. Verma to tell her about my experience with my meds. Our virtual appointment was for 30 minutes and we were done within 5 minutes. I have no idea what she is doing with that extra 25 minutes of time she has on her hand. I still stuck with her but I should’ve trusted my gut about her. I was still having a tough time with my mental health even with my meds so I reached out to her via KP private message. I anxiously waited for her reply. It took her about 24 hours to reply. I opened the message and my heart sank–the message was a copy/paste job straight from her collections of telemarketer’s responses. I am a very patient and understanding person but this was too much for me to bear. I immediately changed doctors after this. Imagine a suicidal patient in dire need of help, waiting a month to finally get an appointment and then having to see Dr. Verma–she is dangerous. Save yourself the pain and heartache, trust your instincts and gut feeling when deciding on your doctors."

"She was very patient and caring with my treatment for over a year and a half, was always attentive to messages and is very kind hearted, I loved her as my psychiatrist! 10/10"

"She is slow and I have to fight for my prescription every month with her and since NONE of my other Drs do this I tried to get along with her...but It was 3 days late plus the weekend this month. So filled on 22nd last month. 5 days later this month filled on 28th. No sleep for 2 days every month. It was re-requested twice this month. Since she took over it just gets later and later. No empathy. except she does eventually approve it. I have 5 Doctors. I don't have time to track her down every month. Find one with time to care for you is my official review."
