Sam's Club

"I was so disappointed with my visit to Sams Club at Sams Circle in Chesapeake, VA on 12/30/2023. I use the scan and go app most of the time when we shop there. Saturday was no different. I had checked out with my purchases. As we were exiting, we found one other item so I used scan and go pay for that item as well. When I got to the exit the receipt checker said she couldn't find the QR code for the pack of steaks. Even though she could see the item was paid for in my purchase history. She told me to go to the service desk and get a printed receipt. I went and was told they couldn't print duplicate receipts (which I was told by the managers they could!) I went back to the exit and was told I could not leave the store. I walked out anyway. She yelled "Thieves" as I exited. I was mortified by this action as I am not a thief. The store was crowded so now people that heard her will think I am a thief!! I called Sams Customer care and asked for a manager. I was told I would get a return call which I have yet to receive. I did however get a $15 gift card. I guess Sams Club thinks my integrity and being defamed by their employee is valued at $15! This caused embarrassment to me, my husband, and niece."

"I placed an order online for delivery. My window was 5-7. I received an email saying my order was delayed. Order never arrived. I called Sam’s the next morning only to be told the earliest I can receive my order is January 2 when it was supposed to be delivered December 30. Then the only way to get my tip back was to cancel and repurchase but the money was already gone from my account. They would not issue a gift card. So I lost my tip had to drive and pick up my order anyway. Just a waste of time energy and money"

"I do not recommend their delivery. I ordered $85 worth of items through their app, gave details of where exactly my apartment was located along with my address so that there wouldn’t be any mistake, and the order was never delivered, but yet reflected that it was delivered in the app. I appreciate the corporate customer service being able to help with a refund through the app. However, I attempted to contact the local store afterwards to make sure they know about the delivery issue via phone multiple times, and the phone just rang through until the phone stopped ringing, but no one ever answered and I have yet to be able to speak to a customer service rep in the actual local store. Edited to change from 1 to 3 stars and add that I have never had any negative in-store concerns at this store."

"This is a very busy store that stays crowded. Getting into the parking area is not easy. Plan on it going slow waiting for people crossing coming out of the store. Many self checkout lines were also very crowded. Both people ahead of me needed assistance and they had to wait for an associate. Then there was a long line to be checked out at the exit. It is a typical discount store. Just plan on being patient."

"This store is at 1501 Sam’s circle chesapeake Virginia 23320 off battlefield and Volvo parkway.Their groceries prices are affordable , Meat, bread , vegetables,got good price . Clothes and shoes and clothes some are brand names and prices are genuine even some lower than others. You can buy books, outdoor items, tires electronic, household stuff on reasonable price.we bought clothes and grocery that was affordable. We bought milk, bread, clothes, shoes vegetables and detergent some other grocery affordable price and very nice. In the end we eat in the cafeteria. We Self check in I like this option. Very large parking lot.customer service at cafeteria is excellent overall customer service is good. I got free tires rotation because bought tires from them."
