"Very nice! I went to the end where there's a boat landing and large parking lot. Shortly before the end, there's a small circle parking area. You are steps to a beach from here. Just past the entrance there's a small parking area close to a trail. $7 week day. $10 weekend. Credit cards accepted. (I entered 64th Street & Atlantic Ave.)"
"The best park, walking trails, beach and boat launch of them all. If you are obsessed with boating, dogs, nature, beaches with trees on them, and generally just living the good life, this is the place for you. There's shade. There are little tidal pools and coves to relax in. Lichens hang whimsically from trees over your head as you meander down the dirt trail. There's parking. Sure, you pay to get in; it's a state park and well worth it. Even the winding drive in is beautiful. My blood pressure goes down just thinking of this place. Forty stars."
"Had a severe thunderstorm the day prior and no issues on the trail with water or downed trees. You have woods, wetlands, marshes, desert, and forest. Amazing park."
"Best park in Virginia Beach..the local entrance is the best, however, we will keep its location a local secret.. great for dog walking, photography, miles of hiking with ease, abundance of fall mushrooms, park benches.. creeks and criters"
"This is a natural gem at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. So much history and so much to learn. Rare and unique ecosystems with beautiful wildlife. There are over 19 miles of trails here. This is a great way to get outside and connect with nature so close to the Virginia Beach oceanfront. The spanish moss forests are very enchanting. Bald eagles also live in this park. This is a very natural dynamic place that everyone should visit."
