"Amazing jewel tucked away off Northampton Blvd/Shell Road. Trails, lakes, playground, fishing, clean restrooms, boat/kayak launches, picnic areas, dog friendly (on leash), benches along the trails for enjoying all the views! What a delightful surprise in the middle of the ciry!!!"
"Cute park with a fishing dock. The parking is very limited."
"This was the first trail I’ve gone to while living here and it did not disappoint! I came specifically for my dog to get some exercise and be outdoors away from cars and I could tell he was having a blast. Really clean, very beautiful to look at, calming, and lots of trails for you to walk around with a great view of the water. The only thing I found was kind of a struggle personally, was that we couldn’t find our way out because there weren’t any signs as to what trail you were going up but we made it eventually so that’s what matters! Definitely will be coming back. Also, watch out for all the roots sticking out of the ground if you plan on running."
"Peaceful place for a walk on a trail. Nice spots for fishing. Calm water for kayaking. Playground near park. Covered picnic area on property. Need a city of Norfolk permit/day pass to boat or kayak. Sign says no paddleboarding or swimming."
"I love this park. Its only 15-20 minutes away from where I live and provides a beautiful hiking experience! Its not so big that I'm afraid I'll get lost or overwhelmed, and it's not too small either. I could choose to walk one mile or five miles. Plus, it is gorgeous and peaceful. I never get bored or tired of it, and I like to go once a week. I feel perfectly comfortable hiking alone, there's always others there, yet its never overcrowded. Plus, its free, and parking is convenient."
