"Hiked to Rapidan yesterday from Milam Gap. Trail in great shape. And the site was lovely. A volunteer park ranger showed us inside the house. He was terrific. What a hidden gem."
"Great find of this hidden gem and historic landmark. Mostly downhill from the Milam Gap parking lot. Return trip is all up hill. Three creek crossing."
"Cool historic site that is well documented and preserved. Volunteer National Park folks were great hosts! Took the hike in the Milam Gap lot which was round trip about 4 miles with some water crossings. Saw one deer grazing on the forest slope and a snake."

"Took a ranger led tour, money was not wasted. It was informative and history packed. Truly a hidden taste in the park"
