"Finding a good therapist is akin to finding a good hair stylist or mechanic; It's frequently trial and error. Speaking from personal experience, it's frustrating and frequently discouraging, especially after investing time and money only to leave after several sessions feeling you've not received any help at all,only to go through the same process perhaps countless times. Typically if a person is at the point where they are seeking professional help then they're at the point of needing help quickly and not months and months down the road. If I'm emotionally hemorrhaging I cannot afford to wait for some distant prospect that may or may not be able to assist in stopping the bleeding. Ms. Robin Russell with Integrity Counseling & Wellness was suggested to myself and my spouse by a mutual friend who has used Ms. Russell for individual therapy. We've never tried couple's therapy before, but were in desperate need of help, as both my spouse and I acknowledged. "Phenomenal " and "Gold standard" are not sufficient enough praise. She helped to see where we needed to improve our interpersonal communication, the areas we both needed to be willing to work on for conflict resolution, and concluded our sessions after she felt confident that both my spouse and myself were effectively utilizing the tools she provided... all of which has dramatically improved our relationship for the better.
