Reviews of Resilience Health, LLC
"I'm still processing my experience yesterday with a sense of unease and the realization that Dr. Beatty's outward care and concern may not reflect her true intentions. I used to be a patient of Dr. Beatty, but due to a lapse in insurance coverage from 2019, I couldn't see her for almost four years. Upon regaining insurance, I eagerly reached out to schedule an appointment. Although the first available slot was two months away, I patiently waited. The day prior to my appointment, I received the customary forms to fill out – covering my medical history, insurance details, and more. I promptly completed and returned these forms. On the appointment day, I used the check-in kiosk at the front desk before being led to the back by Dr. Beatty. I opened up about my personal struggles, updated her on my life, and discussed my mental health challenges vulnerably & candidly. 40 minutes into our 60 minute session, she inquired about how I managed to obtain insurance given my work situation. I disclosed that I had regained Medicaid, the same insurance I previously had. Her reaction was astonishment, followed by her statement that they no longer accepted Medicaid as of June. I was then immediately informed that I would be billed for the appointment. This left me feeling embarrassed, overwhelmed, frustrated, and quite angry for several reasons: Firstly, her level of concern for the 40 minutes prior to finding out about the insurance mishap now seemed to have been performative and insincere as her initial focus was on money once she learned about my Medicaid status. [I am aware that she runs a business and does expect to be paid, obviously, however, because she runs a psychiatry and mental health business, I would have expected a better first response] Secondly, despite waiting almost two months and providing my insurance information, the administration failed to notice the discrepancy. Thirdly, the entire encounter felt like a wasted effort. Lastly, I shared my personal information for no reason. After the initial shock, Dr. Beatty did clarify that she isn't involved in insurance matters (Admin is at fault) and was unaware until I mentioned it. However, her initial response left a bitter taste in my mouth. After leaving and reflecting on the situation, It came across as classist, embarrassing, and insincere and grossly unprofessional. For those with Medicaid, beware – Resilience Health DOES NOT ACCEPT YOU. And for those whose insurance is accepted by Resilience Health, be wary that Dr. Beatty's level of care and compassion is (in my opinion) contingent on your coverage and their administration processes is severely flawed. I must acknowledge that she seems amiable, but I can't help but question the authenticity of the entire experience for any potential or current patient of hers. It raises doubts about whether she genuinely cared about my situation or merely a performative act solely for a cleared insurance check. TO NOTE: By the end of our conversation, She did not end up charging me. I would not have paid because the fault did not lie on me. It was the fault of her poorly trained & unprofessional administrative team."
"Best psychiatric care I have received dealing with a TBI. Tim has helped me minimize the meds I am on while preserving my cognitive function and has helped me maintain my mental health. I have seen both Tim and Cassie and both providers take the time to listen and understand the issues I'm dealing with. Update: I am currently under the care of Dr. Beatty because I have a TBI and her care is nothing short of phenomenal. She has helped me understand my TBI and has managed my medications so that my mental health benefits while my cognition is preserved. Being a TBI survivor herself, Dr. Beatty is compassionate and truly understands my struggles."
"After being under the care of this office, I've had appointments cancelled at the last minute when I was in crisis. They rescheduled for the following month to only not answer the phone or return my calls. Very unprofessional and you don't just leave patients in the dark. This is why our MH is failing and there are so many bad happenings. Now I need to find another MH practice that will work with me. Thanks so much for failing the system when we need you most."
"Doctor cancelled appointment on me with no notice the day before after I waited 3 months to be seen for the first time. The day I was to finally see her (only because another patient had cancelled) I was in the hospital for a heart condition. After calling the practice later that afternoon, I was told that I was going to be terminated as a patient for cancelling too many times. I have never met with this doctor. The office manager called back saying that they had made a mistake and that I could reschedule but only if I pay a $100 missed appointment fee. The psychiatrist was aware that I was under medical care and told by the ER to stay in bed after my cardiac event. I just received a bill for a no show/missed appointment for $200. Totally ridiculous considering I was never informed of the fee or signed any contract with respect to missed or cancelled visits. I will be writing the medical board, DMAS, the board of licensing of health professionals, and the BBB. I should have been suspicious when the practice wanted my credit card information on the new patient application."
"I’ve had some positive experiences with this practitioner in terms of medical care, though she did attempt to prescribe a medication that was counter indicated in my circumstances. She’s also unresponsive in urgent situations. I have additional concerns with the office. Both her front desk staff and her office manager (husband) are respectively rude and incompetent. She bills for letters of accommodation, an extremely unusual practice designed to squeeze every dime out of her patients, which has been noted in other reviews. Tacky. I can’t recommend the office at this time."
