Reviews of Frontier Health - Wise County Behavioral Health
"I went to this place did all the paperwork for when my first appointment the person I was seeing left and apparently didn't have me down on the books. Got a call to set up with pier to talk to and was told I would get a call to get in with someone else nothing. It doesn't feel like they really cared about anything. So I wouldn't recommend if you need help go somewhere else."
"I have mixed feelings about this place. I unfortunately have bipolar, agoraphobia with psychosis. Knowing that one of my medications needed is a narcotic I should have been told upfront that for me to get the best care I would need to reach out to a center that could prescribe my medications. I understand that they have a no tolerance policy because they also help with addiction. After trying a yr without the proper medication I hit bottom. The Dr said again no tolerance but also refused to help me by letting me know of a Dr that could in-fact help me. It would honestly help if the Dr would look at each patient as an individual that has their own individual needs. Stop looking at everyone as a statistic and realize there are patients with mental health issues that sometimes do in fact need a script that is a narcotic just to function in everyday life. You have a no tolerance policy but not being willing to help others in the community in the long run does more damage than good. You want to help battle addiction, give patients the meds they need and educate them."
"I’ve searched for a good therapist and psychiatrist team for a long time and I’ve absolutely found it here! They seem to really care and are very genuine and patient. They are not there to push medication and get you out the door, they take the time to understand your symptoms and background to find ways that will help the most. I’d recommend them to everyone."
"The people who work at WCBH are friendly and professional. I feel comfortable with my councilor and happy with their services."
"First, I’d like to say thank you to my therapist. I like him pretty well, although I feel he thinks he’s better than the people he sees for therapy. However, what I have a problem with is the doctor there. She seems to have a huge chip on her shoulder and is fake nice. Also, she doesn’t know her role. She is a doctor, not a therapist. Yet, she wants to spend time doing the job that my therapist is doing. I’d like her to focus on prescribing my medications and controlling my symptoms, instead of trying to be my buddy and being so damned nosey. Does she read the notes my therapist writes? If so then she shouldn’t be trying to find out more or do his job. Know your role doctor lady! Also, I did not use my name for this review as I did not wish to be targeted as a result. But, I think people have a right to know what they will experience with the doctor at Wise County Behavioral Health."
