About the Business
Kidable Therapy, located at 4335 Brambleton Avenue in Roanoke, Virginia, is a health institution specializing in pediatric occupational therapy. Led by Dr. Lauren Vistarakula, OTD, OTR/L, ADHD-RSP, the team at Kidable Therapy has extensive experience working with children and young adults in various settings. They are not just therapists, but professional problem solvers and play extraordinaires, making therapy both fun and meaningful for children.
At Kidable Therapy, the focus is on finding the ways that work best for each individual child. Through play-based therapy in the comfort of the child's own home, the team helps children develop sensory, motor, social-emotional, language, and cognitive skills to reach their full potential. Additionally, small group play sessions help children develop functional life skills and create friendships with peers who share similar interests, all under the guidance of a pediatric occupational therapy professional.
Parents have praised Dr. Lauren for her creative and fun approach to learning, as well as her patience, kindness, and encouragement. Families have seen significant improvements in their children's fine motor skills, eating habits, and overall confidence since starting therapy at Kidable. Dr. Lauren has become an integral part of many families, providing support and guidance not just to the children, but also to the parents. Kidable Therapy is truly a place where children can thrive and families can find the help and support they need.

"Kidable Therapy provides one of a kind service and support for the entire family! They have helped my kiddo both at home and at school, working with us (parents) and his teachers to find strategies to help with self regulation. Their knowledge and expertise, as well as the personalized care they take, is invaluable. I highly recommend their services!"
"Lauren is so wonderful! She always entered our home with a big smile on her face and new innovated ideas to approach each session differently. Our son attached quickly to her personality and care. He thrived during his time with her."
"We were at our wits end with trying to understand behavioral and sensory challenges my daughter had for years. She's an AMAZING and intelligent girl, but couldn't explain her frustrations or help us work through solutions. Was it behavioral, malicious, genetic, or what?! It was like a big puzzle with triggers everywhere that would cause outbursts and disharmony in our house. Then we found Lauren; and I thank God for her. I'll never forget the consultation with us after she did an initial assessment on our daughter. There was FINALLY some explanation, clarity, and feeling of relief. Kidable Therapy provided excellent tools we could actually implement as a family and our daughter immediately responded to them! Lauren coming to our house/our environment felt safe and comfortable for our daughter (not to mention convenient for us!). Lauren not only helped our daughter accept and understand how she felt, but gave her practical tools and suggestions that empowered my daughter. I'll never forget when my daughter sat our whole family down for a family meeting and led us through a lesson plan about our emotions- complete with our own folders, supplies, and snacks! Lauren provided insight on our daughter and healing for our entire family. She's a gem and will always be welcome in our lives :)"
"Lauren is wonderful to work with! She has done amazing things to help my highly sensitive child. Lauren makes strategies easy and my son loves working with her. I highly recommend Kidable Therapy!"
"Kidable therapy has been an amazing asset to our family. My son has autism spectrum disorder as well as ADHD. Since starting services, my husband and I have become more in sync with our son. I now know how to read his cues and know when he needs a trampoline break or time inside his "stretchy suit". We have also learned strategies for talking about our "big emotions". My son has also worked on his fine motor skills and we have been able to learn more strategies for our school work. We have learned to use "rocket ship pencils" and have also learned to divide our work as opposed to facing it as one big task. My son is always happy when it is his "Dr. Lauren Day". I would highly recommend as we have seen amazing progress in such a short time."
