"I have been waiting MONTHS for this appointment because UVA is apparently "the best." The doctor just gave me recommendations for local pelvic floor PTs. Which I explained several times I HAD ALREADY TRIED many times. This was nothing new to me and I wanted to work with her and talk with her about actually helping my problem, which she literally could not have cared less about and just seemed annoyed I was there. She failed to listen to my concerns of my pain, which I have experienced over a decade, that it could be pelvic congestion syndrome or something else. Also, the seemed annoyed when I didn't have the name of my previous end surgeon, even though I had given this info to YOUR OFFICE several times and they, for some reason, were unable to obtain my records. I WILL NEVER BE BACK. It's so sad this is what patients living with chronic debilitating conditions have to experience over and over and over again. I feel literally scarred from this experience, primarily due to the lack of care and sensitivity of something that has debilitated my life for over a decade, and the aggressiveness of her internal exam. I was in pain and in bed the rest of the day because of this awful doctor."

"First and foremost I do not know anymore whether Dr Homewood is a bad doctor but she doesn't advocate for the termination of Starr Lewis who is a threatening abuser. Additionally I have no knowledge of Dana Redick advocating for this incompetents termination which happened on her watch while Dr. Homewood was on maternity leave. I do know however that I waited for 2 years to get a treatment plan for chronic excruciating pelvic pain for which I went to the ED 3 times. I actually decided it was fruitless to go to the ED when I had an ovarian cyst rupture causing 36+ hours of pain that could only be relieved by taking on a bizarre position and then bleeding for several more days. The doctors and staff do not respond to inquiries or requests through MyChart or by phone until you finally are furious and then they punish you for the situation they created by becoming threatening and abusive toward the frustrated patient. Their clearly in the wrong industry if a frustrated, suffering patient is something about which they cannot have compassion. Apparently, they're the only ones who deserve happiness, health, and minimal pain or frustration. Also Dr. Carrie Sopata gave me a referral to Passages Physical Therapy and they indicated that Sentara Martha Jeff has better more compassionate ob/gyns than UVA. Most of UVA and MJH recommend Dr. Sarah Stadler at Sentara as being the best ob/gyn in Central, VA but sadly stopped taking marketplace Anthem HK. I am sorry but UVA abuses all their patients in some form or another by the time you get done with them. Go elsewhere"
