"I think this organization is definitely a hidden gem. I’ve recently had the opportunity to volunteer with this organization helping to prepare our future leaders for success starting in high school. Giving them real life experience like interview prep sessions with feedback amongst much more. Pff is an organization that has been tremendously influential to so many students! From early in their high school careers the staff with this organization work feverishly to help students who otherwise may not have had many options, aspire to greatness that they may not have known existed! The students are matched with mentors who help with college selection, essay writing, and sometimes just a sounding board to bounce ideas off of. PFF submerges the students in what they call cultural capital sessions that help the students expand their horizons even further. They take them on college tours and help them understand how to choose a college that when they’ve graduated will have little to no college debt. The staff are all passionate about helping the students foster ideas that help them strive for success! By the time pff students are high school seniors many of them graduate with full ride scholarships to one of their top three college choices! This organization really does some amazing work! And is definitely one of Richmond’s best kept secrets that everyone should know about!"
