"Current student and this school is hell. The nursing problem is terrible the from admin to the teachers. It’s the Wild West everyone for themselves. They tell you the due dates for clinical things are due in no times notice. They then blame you as if they have not changed the due date multiple times then excuse it as “it’s the student responsibility” we get that but when people work have kids and on top trying to go to school and all they do is sit at a computer excuse me if I’m not sympathetic. They clearly do not care for their evening students either and it shows terribly. The whole place should just be restarted and start fresh"
"100% don’t recommend. The nursing & IT programs might be okay but do not go for engineering, as it is a joke. The engineering program is not ABET accredited & the front desk people, advisors, teachers, even the dean will tell you it doesn’t matter but it absolutely does! Almost four years since I graduated & I still can’t get a job in engineering unless I go back & get my Masters in the same discipline from an accredited university because my degree from ECPI is not ABET accredited. When I was there; the whole two years, they were always “working on getting it.” Another student who was almost done when I started said they were saying the same thing the whole time he was there. It’s obviously not a priority to them to change & meet the requirements. They will help with job placement but it primarily consists of being offered a technician job from whatever local manufacturer/factory they’ve partnered with or pawning students off on the company, Aerotek. The financial aid ladies were also always incredibly rude & unhelpful with any questions. Pre-covid it was approximately $500 per credit/ $1500 per class. Not sure what it is now but just take your money elsewhere. The fast pace classes were nice but that’s it. The only thing is it moves so fast you may be too far into the program before you realize how terrible it is & want to transfer. VCU will transfer about 1/3 of ECPI credits for engineering. They also still reach out regularly about returning for my Masters despite me asking them not to. The school is only about profit & nothing else"
"My granddaughter came to this poor excuse of a nightmare school thinking she’d receive the degree she’s been wanting to earn for a while now. To start off with, if you do as much as one simple inquiry online they’re blowing up your phone non stop ( she received 5 missed calls with in an hour when she was at work from them). Clearly they’re money hungry and commission based, it’s not that they want you to make a better life for yourself. My granddaughter was practically forced to the campus thinking she was just getting a tour and the advisor had her trying to apply which is NOT what she wanted to do at the time. She had no idea the tests she was being made to take on this “tour” were tests to get into the college until it was too late. She missed the passing score by one question and the advisor told her she needs to rethink what she wants to do and apply for another program. My granddaughter was so annoyed with them she gave up on them and looked elsewhere but guess what, they still blew her phone up with phone calls! Months later she decided to try again and this was even worse than the first bad experience. She applied, (they lied about the application fee it’s $115 not $15) and tried moving forward with her degree still receiving pointless weekly calls from the school and come to find out one requirement that was not disclosed before applying stopped her from being able to join. She worked constantly to find a way around it but this disgraceful school wouldn’t budge and accept a fully capable, eager student. Once her problem arose, this school that went from calling her five times in one day and went to the school she had to beg to get a replied email from. She became so frustrated with this “school” that she withdrew her application and they have yet to refund her the money she paid when applying. When she reaches out via email (the rare occasion they reply) she’s told it’s processing. How long can a refund process?! It’s been two weeks! I would never recommend this poorly run business to anyone. They’re money hungry and do not care about the students that are providing this money to them."
"I came to this University after the closure of ITT. I was looking for a college that would give me hands on experience and the knowledge to start a career in engineering. Many of my credits were accepted and I continued to learn what I needed to be successful. I’m nearing the end of my bachelor’s degree in EET and have already had one offer and networked with two people who could help me get my foot in the door at two different companies. This is by far the best college I have attended. The instructors are knowledgeable and have experience in the fields they teach. The staff are fully dedicated to their students and will help anyone who ask. Lastly, they work directly with employers to find out what students needs to know to be successful. If you are serious about pursuing a career; they will help you get the knowledge and experience needed to get you into the field."
"ECPI Innsbrook Campus..... I am a retired police officer who served 15 years and was hurt in the line of duty. I moved to Virginia from Cleveland Ohio and found myself lacking the education needed to compete in today's job market. I was skeptical about going to college in my late 30s and I was worried about balancing life at home with a small daughter and a wife that travels for work. I didn't think I could balance school and home but the admissions staff helped me realize it was not going to be easy, but it is definitely doable. I re-evaluated my situation and just went for it. My decision was the best decision I have ever made! As hard as it was, going to school, working, and raising a child, I never missed a day of school, I worked in the IT dept at school, and I graduated with honors and got a great job in technology. If I could succeed as a college student after being away from school for over 20 years while balancing family, work and school, then you can definitely do it. I'm happy, im proud, and my family is proud of what I have accomplished. It just gets better from here."
