We had the BEST day on the water today! He hit several spots and we caught fish we had been wanting to catch, but never had (tautog, sheepshead, puffer, and more!). "I went out with Captain Alan in October of 2014. First off, I have to complement Alan on his expertise. Captain Alan is an excellent boat coxswain, he maneuvered the boat in the right place every time, setting me up with catch after catch. Secondly, Captain Alan knows the York River like the back of his hand. Every spot we fished at, we pulled multiple fish out. Additionally, Captain Alan made this one of the most memorable fishing trips I have ever been on. Conversation was great, and the fishing was even better. In just a four hour trip, we caught 47 Stripers! That is almost unheard of right? Captain Alan set me up with light tackle so the fight would be both challenging and enjoyable. Further, Captain Alan made me feel welcome with his generosity and support for our great nations Armed Forces! "I have been on 2 trips with Captain Alan and both were amazing. On the first trip, Alan took my entire family (wife and 3 young kids) out on the York River. We were "fish on" quickly and the entire family had a great time. On another trip Alan took my Dad and I out for striped bass in December. We only caught one fish this trip, but it was a 40lb monster so it was well worth it! On both trips I felt very safe with Alan at the helm as our guide.
