Four Mile Creek Park 3256 New Market Road, Henrico, VA 23231

"This is the four mile creek trailhead. It is a beautiful part of the Virginia capital trail. There are parts completely covered by trees and then there are parts that open up by corn fields. There is a cross walk about a mile up. Just an FYI. There is also a gas station right across the street which can be helpful."

"Porta Potties were full and filthy! Heavy use , I suspect from cyclists. Has Henrico investigated Thronelabs Potties? Looks like a great idea !!"

"I was excited about going here. When I typed in "hiking trail" it was close bu and had 4 1/2 stars. This is the Virginia Capital Trail for biking (although people do walk it). It is adjacent to the road so any nature sounds are drowned out by the noise from traffic. It is great for walkers needing a flat surface, strollers and scooters, wheelchairs. The few trails I did see were unaccessible and overgrown from years of neglect. Personally. I would not consider this a hiking trail. Also, Google Maps takes you to New Market Hieghts Rd, which is a dead end road in a subdivision."

"Lots of parking, the small green space it clean and well maintained, however, the portable potty’s could be cleaned a bit more frequently. Overall it is a very nice park."

"I found this park very clean and convenient to get to from my house. Lots of bikers park here to start on the capital trail. There are several port potties here to use. Not actual bathrooms. There are a couple picnic tables and a shelter or two that is covered with benches. You can take the trail to Dorey park or go the other route. The other route I don’t remember exactly where it is taking you to but I do know it’s towards the Williamsburg end. A lot of it for about 2 miles going that way is next to the road so be prepared for noisy cars. Not a tone of shade so if it’s hot and sunny, wear sunscreen lol"
