"I lived here for four years. Residency length: 2017-2021 The maintenance men were nice and punctual. Anytime I had an issue they were always quick to resolve it. The associates in the leasing office were nice and helpful as well. The management in the leasing office had a high attrition rate and therefore, changed roughly six times in two years. I never felt unsafe, no matter what time of the day or night. At times, I did hear guns shots from the surrounding neighborhoods. But that was not often nor did it deter me from living there. The final year of my residency, I noticed a decline in the level of care for the apartment grounds that had nothing to do with maintenance but solely to do with the caliber of people they were leasing too. The parking lot would have lots of trash on the ground and the community began to look unpolished and dirty. I began to see large roaches inside and outside of my apartment and would wake up to them crawling on me. I informed the leasing office and they arranged to have my apartment sprayed weekly, however the roaches did not cease and thats when I knew it was time to move. Also, I had a lot of issues with ceiling leaks when I moved to the second floor in building B. One morning I woke up to the sound of rain but when I looked outside it was not raining. Come to find out the neighbor above me had a leak and water was literally pouring down from my living room ceiling. I had a leak in my master bedroom closet and second bedroom as well. All were addressed and fix in a timely matter. Towards the end of my stay they stopped enforcing resident parking only and when I would come home from work at 10pm, there was absolutely no parking. Keep in mind there are roughly 34 apartments within this community. It would infuriate me. When I would reach out to management to complain, they would always say they are working on getting a towing company but never enforced that the parking was for residence only. There was a time where people where storing three to four non working vehicles in the parking lot. I loved my apartment and I looked forward to coming home. It’s a gated community and in close proximity to pretty much everything. This is my honest review and hope this helps others in their apartment search."
"I don't think I can fit in every horrific incident into this review, but I'll give it my best here. Management is lazy and incompetent, to the point where they lose my rent check and send me a "notice of non-compliance" in the mail. Literally hundreds of dollars in extra fees they tried to gouge from me (in attorney fees), not just the late fee mentioned in the lease. A lazier and more profitable solution than putting a letter on my door or emailing, I suppose. Leasing office was frequently closed with no notice. A total nightmare to fix. Somehow, amazingly, maintenance managed to be even worse. I think they completely forgot to send in a maintenance person to fix the apartment up before I moved in. The spiral staircase that looked cool in photos had about half the floorboards totally unsecured, they'd flip up if you tried to step on them. The dishwasher was broken on arrival and the shower bar was broken (and the fix was to paint a totally unsecured bar back). The maintenance guys only spoke Spanish, so I had to describe the problems via google translate. No judgement towards them, but management seems intent on letting everyone fail. All this from a single year living there. Please, please, please, stay far away."
"Victoria Place is the worst apartment ever! From beginning to end nothing but issues. When I was waiting for my application to be approved, I found out they lost or misplaced it due to switching management, “switched often.” The first day I tried to move in, there were worms all around baseboards in master bedroom “never seen such.” I had them to clean the carpet and they stated that it was because of being vacant. The next day the worms were back. I found more and more in all the rooms. I had them to clean the carpet in all rooms because I discovered pet hair as well. As days go by more and more different types of bugs and spiders appeared. I had them to spray twice inside and out. Ok then the first day of heat outside, the AC doesn’t work. Three times maintenance shows up and fixes nothing. Then later it’s the motor. The offered another carpet cleaning. That’s three carpet cleans. The drip pan is not properly placed, water everywhere. The next incident, leaks in the ceiling and mold in different areas discovered. I was truly done with this apartment. I decided not to renew my lease but didn’t give them notice on time, but they didn’t care. I moved out and they took my security deposit for carpet cleaning! I don’t have kids and I’m not trashy. If anything there were the bugs that keep coming back. I have several pictures that I showed them throughout. They gave me the carpet filthy and they charged me to clean it. And now they don’t answer my phone calls after pleading my case. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I ignored all the RED flags."
