"Robert Shipley or Robert Werner, he goes by both, came out and provided a quote for chimney work and lining. He requested 50% up front for materials. He was given the 50% in October of 21, and he never came back. He has dodged my calls and only answers when I call from a number he does not recognize, then he claims to be his own cousin. Make sure you have a lawyer on retainer if you hire this guy. Kinda cute that he rates his own company under one of his names. Real winner here! Rob, I'm still waiting for my refund... or even a call back. 10/29/22"

"Didn't show up the first time. Charged me $250 and said he would deduct it from the repairs he needed to make. He never sent the report or photos and never followed up despite repeatedly contacting him."

"Would not recommend Robert to anyone. First, we Scheduled an appointment which it took him multiple weekends to even show up. He cleaned and did work on our chimney in late October and was to refund us back around $900 for some issues with the realtor. It is not middle of March and we have still not received our money. He refuses to answer my husbands phone calls. When i finally got ahold of him he said he had been dealing with medical issues and he would drop off the check that Monday morning. He of course never showed up and we haven’t heard from him. He refuses to answer our phone calls. He is unreliable and i would really not ever recommend him to anyone!!!!!!!"

"Extremely unprofessional. Scheduled a service inspection with Robert (owner) of Ash Busters, Front Royal and he never showed up. Simply blew off the agreed inspection date. I called and texted him the night before to confirm, but he never responded to either. I have been waiting over 3wks to get an inspection and relied upon Robert, I even offered him extra money to make a dedicated trip. He seemed cordial and respectful during the initial phone call, but his actions proved otherwise. Also, when I asked Robert if he was CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) certified he said he was, I later determined searching the CSIA website he was not. Very disappointing and again, beyond unprofessional."

"Technician was here the next day, cleaned and serviced buy wood stove with inspection quickly and efficiently. The technician also assisted with answering questions related to my stove which was extremely beneficial. Will be calling them 4 annual inspections going forward every time"
