"I love a contractor that will honestly tell you when work DOESN’T need to be done! I had some mold in the basement of my new home and made efforts at remediating it myself; I had Servpro come look at it to make sure it was handled properly, and Kevin Smith was glad to tell me I had done exactly what they would’ve done for me and that he didn’t see any remaining issues. Will gladly be using Servpro in the future if I have any similar projects!"
"Note: this review is specifically regarding packing services. Arminda and her team were wonderful from the start — arrived punctually within the quoted window, were extremely pleasant and had a friendly demeanor and “can-do” attitude. Any question I asked or request I made was met with thorough explanation and/or prompt follow-through, including multiple calls to the reconstruction team that would be working on the job post-pack-out to coordinate which methods were best for the move and narrow down movement to only those items that were absolutely necessary. In addition to being of a high caliber, the work was also extremely efficient. I would definitely recommend them, and even suggested they start a separate moving service division for people who are simply moving house (not necessarily undergoing reconstruction)! Update as of Nov 17: Should have waited to do this review until the full moving process was complete. While the pack-out was great, the pack-back was an absolute disaster. First of all, the team showed up almost 2 hours late to the scheduled session. Secondly, supposedly due to understaffing, the full prior team, including the lead who ran the show previously — Arminda — was not there. This unfortunately resulted in a completely substandard process, as, according to the new team, Arminda’s absence meant that they did not have access to diagrams to aid them in locating whither boxes/items should be moved back (in my opinion, a decent dose of sexism was involved here as well, given that I was basically told that the men are just there to physically carry things). This caused my near 8-mo pregnant self to have to continuously go up and down stairs, aiding the team in trying to relocate my things properly. Winded and discouraged, after a while, I just gave up as the majority of things had been moved, but it was an extremely disappointing experience and level of service. Furthermore, we noticed markings on both some of our door frames and room furniture that correlated and indicated a lack of care on the part of the movers with our items. Overall, would NOT recommend. Update as of Dec 13: I was recently contacted about the previous update on my review. The company representative was very apologetic about the lapse in service and even delivered compensation for the situation. He also assured me that policies were being reviewed so that a similar situation was not repeated with any customers in future. I definitely regained some of my esteem for the organization due to this intervention and am happy to see the customer service functioning at such a high level. On balance, would give the company another chance in future."

She walked with me to determine what could be salvaged, explained each process she was doing (from cataloging what was being stored and what was determined to be unsalvagable), and what the follow-up process would be. She is most definitely a keeper and excellent representative of ServPro!"
"This was the worse experience I’ve ever had with a company. It took 7 months to finish a job that should have been a fraction of the time. I went through about 5 contacts and two sub contractors. They kept getting fired or quit and then I was left with no follow up unless I made the effort to reach out. Very unprofessional. No follow up at all, they sealed wires shut with drywall which was never fixed, removed my thermostat and never called me back when I’ve called multiple times on this, no calls about the basement repairs that still need to be completed, which I absolutely will find someone else to repair. Scratches on my furniture from movers. The complaints could go on all day. If an issue would ever come up again I will never use this company. Just a terrible experience."
