Avalon Courthouse Place

"Seriously read all of the 1 star reviews before signing anything. I lived here for 3+ years and it went from bad to worse. The best part of the building was Frank in the front desk and he’s leaving now so beware. 6 elevators for the building is simply not the case, rarely more than 3 run at a time. Well at least they’re modernizing the elevators, right? Wrong, I’ve been stuck in the new ones, had the power in the elevator flicker in the new ones and one time the elevator just went all the way to the 20th floor out of nowhere (all in the new elevators) pool opens late, hot tub leaks and is closed more than it’s open, the building floods when it rains, $500 amenity fee, $100 per month for parking, 25% increase in rent between years even if they’ll post your current apartment below the rate they offered you. They have an Amazon locker so that’s cool right? Wrong, you’ll get FINED PER DAY for not picking up a package on time and these times are when the locker is full and you don’t receive a notification a package arrived. Leasing office is incompetent and unhelpful. This is not a luxury building but you’ll pay like it is. There are 10 other buildings in the area, move there instead and save your self. Everything mentioned was told to the property as well."

"I have been living in the building for 5 years straight. I know staff very well, and they became my "second family" overtime. I want to express a big THANK YOU to all of them, especially Abigail Affram, who helped me not once, especially when my bike was stolen. Avalon, give her a raise! I'm glad I live in this place, and hopefully, the management will be understanding and help me to move to a bigger apartment soon. I want to express thanks to Donna, Chuck, and Frank, who recently left."

"The maintenance team is great. Really quick to fix things, on top of everything. Building is pretty clean; I’ve never seen dirt stick around a full day. 1/3 of the elevators are out at any given time and are relatively slow. Impacts everyone because they’re serving 20 floors. Fairly soundproof. Front desk folks are always friendly. Would be 5/5 if all the elevators worked. So far, hasn’t been the case in the 4 months I’ve been here."

"The maintenance team at Avalon Courthouse Place is always very responsive and helpful to any requests. They’ve helped fix electrical outlets, windows, bathroom fixtures, and my washer dryer since I moved to the community over 1.5 years ago. Delonte, Chuck, and the rest of the maintenance team are awesome. If she could, my dog would give them all 10/10s for the love they show her as well."

"My husband and I’ve been living at Avalon for a few months now and we the moving transition in this building was easy and very good. The staff are great and very attentive if you have any issues they reply promptly. Our family had some maintenance issues these last couple of days and Joshua, one of the maintenance staff was very good, fast and informative how long the problem with take to resolve. We were glad that Joshua and his team were able to resolve our situation even before the deadline they communicated to us in first place. A recommendation for next summer, if the pool can stay at least until the mid September as nowadays the summer tends to prolong some more weeks :). Glad to be part of Avalon community and make memories with our loved ones!"
