"Disgusting customer service. Delta Dental is a scam. They make it impossible to cancel service. It’s worse than a timeshare. Representatives lie about changes to your account."

"If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a 10k surgery on 10/4/23 when claim was submitted. Had to follow up SEVERAL times for payment. What Delta is covering is embarrassing and inhumane. Not even 20%. The things that did cover put the rest of your oral health at risk and create lifetime problems. It is also 1/10/24 and YET to receive the check that was supposedly cut almost a month ago. This insurance is a scam and employers offering it beware. Your premium you pay you would be better off NOT and getting your own. The level of care provided is basically worse than you would use for a pet. Just another example of how low our standards are in the US. Read every single 1-star review and you can get a sense of how bad they are. Also same canned trite response. Obviously don’t care about patients or standard of care. I feel very badly for all of those that put in reviews especially those on fixed incomes or elderly."

"Apparently DD does not coordinate or accept primary bill from our dentist office. I've talked to the accountant at the dental office several times. The claim is returned as "not legible"! It is submitted electronically. DD's premium is $93.00 a month. Why can DD not pay for the work my husband needed? I'm cancelling the policy because DD has not paid 1 red cent of the bill for either of us. Apparently service has declined greatly over the last few YEARS if you check the online reviews."

"Our pediatric dentist is no longer going to be an in network provider because this company will not pay the amount needed for services. Somehow Medicaid is able to pay more for services than Delta Dental. Sadly, there are no other pediatric dentists close to our home. There are very few dentists in our area that even accept this insurance. Unfortunately, this is the only insurance that our employers offer."

"ABSOLUTELY the WORST dental plan!!! I have tried to cancel, they won’t let me. They say when I signed up, it was for one year! No one told me that. I am on a very limited income and have declared Bankruptcy. I tried to cancel to save money, I’m on a very limited budget. They told me the only way to get out of the plan is to miss two payments. To withhold the next two payments it will cost me almost a hundred dollars to block the payments. Apparently this company doesn’t care. I am 71 and lost my spouse of many years. Just seems unfair. No one takes care of the older generation."
