"Established community with plenty of older trees and plantings and a small lake and lots of easy walking/biking trails in the surrounding area on county land."

"I’m giving 5 stars because I do not live here. However I just wish there was a little bit of sympathy for our youth of the community. My son is who is 15 has loved fishing ever since he was young and would go with his dad. Now he struggles with many mental disorders. His only coping mechanism is fishing when he gets rough thoughts. His father pasted away in 2020 and has made it hard for him to continue on. However, fishing is his light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately he has nowhere close enough to walk to except for lakeside. Which I totally understand is private property but I am always at work to support him so I can’t drive him anywhere so he must walk. All I wish is that there was enough sympathy for a young mind to be able to fish at your lake. He always is responsible and respectful to your property."

"Lakeside is a wonderful community and living here has been a dream. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. There are great trails, tons of different trees, and- of course- a beautiful lake. The grounds team really work hard and are such great guys. The community is very diverse- grad students, young professionals, families, and retirees- and very dog friendly. One of my favorite parts of living here is that there's always a new puppy and my dog has made so many four-legged friends. The location is great too; close to downtown and the new shopping center, but also not too developed so it's nice and quiet. And last, but not least, the team who manages the property are great. Very helpful, friendly, and professional. Do yourself a favor and live at Lakeside."

"Great place to call home. Quality apartments with resort-like amenities incomparable to anything I've seen in Cville. The staff is kind and very prompt in solving issues. Maintenance is the same - skilled and timely. There's the pool and tub, the gym, the movie theater, the recreation courts, and who doesn't love a beautiful lake with hills in the background?"
