"This place should have a zero star.. This place is just horrible, do not even think about living here. I had the worst experience in my life with this place.. Let me summarize.. When I first moved here, there were a lot of problems in the house. There were no washing machine and dryer. We told this to the management teams in the first day. Thought they will resolve it in a couple of days, but no.. I kept informing them multiple times and they brought the machines which we were paying for 15 days later.. We had to wash our clothes at our friends house.. Similar with the dishwasher.. The parts inside the dishwasher was broken, and we immediately told it to them.. The same thing.. They replaced the part 2 weeks later and we had to wash the dishes manually.. The windows in the kitchen was leaking when it rains outside.. They didn't care and didn't fixed it for a while.. Then, they presumably fixed it but it leaked again.. A lot of other problems we had there which I don't want to mention.. The management team didn't care our problems and we had to deal with them ourselves.. After two months of moving there, I found another job in another state. I told them that I would be moving in 2 weeks. First, they told me to manage an easy move-out for me so that I wouldn't have to pay the early termination fee. This would be great for me but I didn't see what was coming.. They made the things a lot more trouble for me and my family. It is very difficult for me to communicate with these people. They didn't answer my phones, they didn't response my emails. And I am guessing I am not the only one. I moved out on Sept 09, and informed them many many times to finalize my early termination. I told them many times that I would pay the buy-out amount once they finalize the calculations. I waited weeks for them to do the work, they just didn't do anything with my case. Finally, they calculated the amounts, but it was not correct.. They added additional $1000 (approximately) to my fee and then they immediately closed my account. I was not able to log into my account any more and couldn't pay the early termination fee.. And two days ago, I received a notification from a collector they I owe them.. THIS IS JUST HORRIBLE.. I was waiting for them to correct the amount, but they forwarded my case to a collector.. MOREOVER, EVEN THOUGH I WAS THE ACCOUNT HOLDER, THEY SENT THE DEBT ON MY WIFE.. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS.. When I emailed them, they told me many times that "someone will reach out to me before the end of today", but they never did it. Living there was the worst experience in my entire life.. I stayed there for two months, and now it has been almost two months since I moved out but the effects still on us.. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.. I am sure that when they see this review, they will respond to this very message.. They will most probably say this "We value our residents, we are sorry for your experience, and someone from our community will reach out to you to resolve your issue.. bla bla.." I just don't believe them.. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELVES AND YOUR FAMILY.."
"I began my lease at Barracks West Apartments on June 9, 2023, intending to stay for 14 months. However, circumstances changed when I accepted a new job in North Carolina approximately three months later. I vacated the apartment on September 9, after discussing my early departure with the management, who assured me that they would facilitate a smooth and easy transition. Regrettably, this was not the case. I tried to contact with the office many times. Many phone calls and emails.. They don't answer the phones and they don't return the emails. I think they just don't care about their customers, since there has been a total lack of response. I was willing to comply with the terms of our agreement and pay the early move-out penalty, but there has been no initiative from their end to terminate my lease or address the penalty. Consequently, I had to pay the full rent for September, despite residing there for only nine days, and I fear that I may be liable for October’s rent as well. The absence of communication and the unfulfilled promises have been extremely frustrating for me. I hope this review brings attention to my situation and prompts a resolution. If not, I am afraid I have to make the five-hour drive to discuss this issue in person, as they don't return to any of my calls or emails. I just want to cancel my lease due to an unexpected situation. I urge prospective renters to consider the management's lack of responsiveness and poor communication before making a decision."
"Pleasantly surprised because I’ve heard a lot of bad stories and issues from individuals who’ve lived here. So far I have no complaints and I’ve been here two and a half months. The townhouse wasn’t completely move in ready but it wasn’t a big deal and the maintenance staff fixed what needed to be fix so quickly I thought I was getting preferential treatment. I wish the landscape company would do a better job of tidying the yards of the units that are vacant but no real issues. I’m loving it so far."
"The company kept my deposit, sent the check to a state I don't live in, won't respond to email's, doesn't answer the phone to main office and does not respond to messages left. Bottom Line: they will steal from you, and then ghost you, KEEPING your money. I'm going to be forced to hire a lawyer! Apply if you want your deposit robbed!"
