Ash Tree Apartments

"I've lived at the Ashtree apartments for almost 4 years and my experience has been nothing but disappointing. Every year rent goes up while the building seems like it's falling apart (even though it looks pretty new). My air conditioning goes out every summer, every time we have people in the apartment to fix something, they track dirt inside, often don't fix the problem or make it worse, the parking lot is very tight with far too few spaces to the number of residents in the buildings (only 1 guaranteed space per apartment!), and it's very poorly lit at night too. If I have to park on the street, I'm worried that my car will be sideswiped because the road is so narrow and CVille busses come speeding down the middle of the road every day which forces other cars out of the way. I've seen more cars wrecked in the street parking that I can count. MSC often gives short notice for when people will be entering apartments for maintenance or water shut offs. I know that renting in Charlottesville is probably not going to be a great experience no matter where you live, but I'd take a chance with anyone other than MSC."

"The parking lot at Ash Tree is extremely dark. This is especially concerning due to the crimes that have recently taken place on Madison Ave and Grady Ave. A well lit parking lot might make residents feel safe while exiting their vehicles, unloading their vehicles and walking to their apartments at night. I do not recommend renting an apartment at Ash Tree while the parking lot is almost pitch black."
