"Sa far so good. I was on a waiting list and given an estimated time for call back. That estimated time was exactly as I was told. Upon initial arrival, staff was kind, facility was welcoming and clean. Staff was very kind and patient with myself and daughter."
"Not thrilled with the service. Initially, it seemed like a positive experience. Obviously, my child received services due to significant mental health challenges. The office staff was always friendly and they were as accommodating as they could be. However, there was not adequate communication from the therapist with us. My child was not thrilled to be going. But at no point were we informed that there was any issues with the services or brought to our attention that CPC could not provide what he needed. After sending two e-mails to the general e-mail, I was only communicated with by the office manager, not the therapist. Upon which, I was told that they could not help my son and their place was not a good fit. No further explanation, no team meeting to discuss the situation. No recommendations for next steps. Just "I’m sad to say but I think it’s obvious that we are simply not a good fit for what he needs, we are not the right place for him." To say we were immediately stunned and upset would be an understatement. I have no opinion on whether the actual counseling in therapy was working, as I was not really communicated with. However, the operation and communication was less than professional."
"What a disappointment this place was. After seeing my son for a few weeks he was given a diagnosis, and when I requested reports and explanations I could share with his pediatrician and other doctors, at first she told me she doesn’t do that. When I asked again she kept saying she would send it. After months of asking and being told over and over it was coming, I finally got fed up and fired them. It makes me question everything she told me about my son. She wasn’t willing to share any of her thoughts or put any of it on paper for another doctor to see. It’s unethical and unbelievable. Absolutely do not recommend."
"I have spent a great deal of time looking all over the Shenandoah Area for a therapist who would fit well with my (9 y/o) daughter. After meeting with one of their therapists and having a session, it was clear that this is a place that takes not only mental health seriously, but children as well which is so rare to see as I have found through my extensive search. Throughout our time with CPC, they were active with her and taught me things I would never have known had I not come to them. Excellent people, excellent service, excellent facility, excellent all the way around! Will recommend to anyone who will listen!"
"So disappointed and I will not go into great detail though I probably should. I rarely leave a bad review however this place has earned this review. I would never recommend this place given my personal experience with my sons counselor. If you want to pay $155 for your kid to play for 50 mins then this place is for you. If you want your child to be labeled with multiple “disorders” and expect the LPC to tell you about these so called “disorders” , you will be disappointed... because she won’t. If you call and would like to speak to your child’s counselor, well, you won’t be able to speak to them. If you leave a message, no, you will not receive a call back. Moms, dads... keep looking. Your child deserves better care. You as the parent that loves your child and who is thinking about taking the next step to help your child/children, yes, you deserve better."
