"The company has definitely evolved with time. Working here for a couple of years and even though there has been a huge turnover rate with management and supervisor’s, the quality of care for the clients has gotten better and the training provided by CARD is unmatched compared to other places who don’t make sure you understand the concept of aba, but just throw you in clients home. Even with issues with the leadership turnover and lack of consistency, recently the current leadership staff is always ON IT!! You can tell they love and care about what they do, and when there are family emergencies and situations where you needed to call out they don’t make you feel bad about it and encourage time off to yourself. I also find it amazing how each month they do a themed special day for the clients and are able to engage them in fun things and activities they typically wouldn’t be made apart of."
"the admin assistants have been dumb and unprofessional, but the operations manager does well and the clinical team works really well and the job is flexible and understanding. Love this place and my career. I wouldn't change it for the world. Hours and pay are great. Coworkers are always there for you professional and personal."
"The main concept of what CARD does is amazing. We need more facilities that implement Applied Behavior Analysis therapy for those that have ASD. I was a therapist and Admin Coordinator for CARD here in Chesapeake South so I am speaking with knowledge of how ABA is implemented and also with first hand experience within the coworking environment. Turnover rate is very high here. You will consistently see technicians quit and be fired. The office manager here is very knowledgeable with working with getting the appropriate therapists and therapies needed, however, is not so good at interpersonal communications between the technicians. Even though the clients are usually getting what they need via therapy, the professional environment is very lacking. The technicians are severely underpaid, which in turn contributes to high turnover. There are more ABA facilities in the Hampton Roads area turning up, I strongly suggest looking those up instead."
"Very incapable receptionist no one gets back to you for months you constantly call for services for your child they barely have any info the card enrollment center receptionist are very unprofessional degrading disrespectful I asked to speak to the manager or supervisor the receptionist told me they’re not available and she could get a email to them When she called me back three weeks later she basically told me they were unavailable to get in touch with me and what can she do for me moving forward so basically my complaints were invalid to them not serious enough for them to reach out to me by the manager or supervisor turned in everything they ask for even got my son a new evaluation they do not care about you or your child at this location I will suggest you go elsewhere any other location other than this one and Chesapeake you will definitely run into problems and no one will care or have an answer Even if you can’t find no other ABA outpatient therapy center available please please if you care anything about your autistic child stay away from this location if the service is this bad to even get in I can imagine what it will be when you do get in this was a blessing all parents take this review seriously ."
"I had an appointment scheduled for a tour half an hour before they opened. They forgot the appointment so I waited for half an hour until they opened. The office manager, although unapologetic, did give me a tour. The tour was brief and I was unimpressed with their facility. It's very sterile and empty. At the end of the tour, I wasn't offered a chance to ask questions, or given any information at all. Horrible experience. Would not allow my child anywhere near this place."
